to me, any illegal drug that comes in pill or powder form should have an extremely low tolerance policy for dealers of those substances...they cause too much death, crime and poverty in society and should be treated accordingly

Are you talking about MDMA? Maybe if someone was particularly allergic, or had a heart defect or something. But not usually, and not in the thousands (maybe millions? at least tens of thousands) out there using it every weekend.

there have been thousands if not millions of scientific studies done on all the illegal drugs in society and while you get the occassional study that says when used in moderation a drug is safe, the fact of the matter is that every drug including marijuana changes your brains chemistry as well as destroying cells in the brain...with time alot of the damage done can be recovered with some of the drugs but from literally EVERY study i have read up or seen about extasy, they have said that every pill changes your brain chemistry to such an extent that only part of the damage can be recovered which reduces dramically with continued use  :thumbdown  same has been said about the majority of the other powder drugs out there from what i have read and seen....

 

now for personal experiences, i have only ever known 3 people who take herion, all 3 stole from me, only known a few people that take speed as well, all have stolen from me, the people who have taken eccys, suprise suprise, have all stolen from me  :thumbdown  seriously the only group of people that take drugs that have not stolen from me have been stoners....there was 1 guy actually, but i later found out it was actually his girlfriend that stole my bottle of booze and she had popped an eccy that night, shame the slag didnt dehydrate and die but she fucked her life away a few months later by giving birth at the age of 17 and dropping out of school so karma has its own way of getting back at people   

 

the point to my ramblings is that those harder drugs bring alot of pain and suffering to society at large, eg. why do you think there are heaps of druggo prostitutes?  i dont think they are out there sucking and fucking for buds

Which thousands, or millions of studies are you referring to? By which instituations, which drew what conslusions based on what data? C'Mon mate, that sounds a lot more like "WDCs opinion" than "cold hard scientific fact".

It seems you're lumping all chemical drugs into the same boat because they come in the same form (pill, powder)? Based on your limited personal experience?

My understanding is that pure MDMA is fairly safe, having a ratio of dose to lethal dose of 1:50. I don't think it's toxic at all. There might be a change in dopamine levels during and after use, but these are temporary. I think most of the illegal drugs aren't nearly as dangerous as alcohol and tobacco, especially long term.

I heard there were only two negative study results into ecstasy and both have had to be retracted recently because of errors.

Results: MDMA impairs short term memory, some cognitive function, effects seratonin levels (duh), some birth defects when MDMA was used in the pregnanacy.

 

One study into these millions of ecstasy deaths found 16 people in 2 years...in the UK.

 

The UK has one of the most active dance scenes in the world. They would have millions of ecstasy users per year, yet this "new killer drug" kills FIFTEEN people in 2 YEARS? And usually because of improper hydration and overheating!! I got on during the 46 degree heat wave that was New Years Day and I'm still here to tell the tale, same as thousands of others.

 

How is it adversely affecting you life by someone going to a dance party and having a few pills?
