reducing light times gradually into flower

Recommended Posts

"Many growers are reporting improved flowering vigour through reducing their light times gradually when it is time to go to Bloom, especially those who are growing with

The Program.

Instead of dropping straight to 12 hours from their vegetative stage of 18-20 hours, they are reducing the light time by 2 hours a day, gently taking the plants into flowering. This is closer to what happens naturally outdoors and so far all reports have been positive. "

anyone heard of or tried this?

i have heard of a few growers doing that, all they got was a minimal increase in yield + a few more weeks of flowering time  :thumbdown

Yea, its better to just go straight 12/12 for most plants, it snaps them right into flowering mode and they go hard from there onwards. If i had a 'perfect' grow, it would be with 1000w MH's and pure sativas and go from 13/11 to 11/13 gradually. I think that would bring out the best in buds definately. But not 'worth' it if you are growing for yield or under time constraints.
