Homemade shades

Recommended Posts

Anyone? Was thinking Id probably be able to make a large shade for less than a third of the cost of a new one. I only got a small shithouse shade for my 600w, and Ill be needing something decent. A good new shade for cheap is worth about $60, so I was thinking about just buying the light fitting for $25, and making my own large shade. It doesnt have to be angled much or anything, just a large V.

I knew there was a post somewhere about these, chasing it up now.

There is a problem finding the old shade apparently. All my old growing stuff is at my mums place in Sydney! All she can find is some 48w CF's, 600w hps ballast and globe. Also all my bubbler buckets and flood and drain tray, but I wont be bringing that across, not worth it.

I guess I might as well just buy one, its less hassle and fking around. I can always stretch the metal out a bit more.

Nutriflo have this for $55 plus about $10 for shipping. Wonder if there is anywhere I can get one cheaper...
