Marc Emery: My message to you

Recommended Posts

What do you guys/gals think of his message. It seems too me that he could have made a comfortable life for himself through the seed industry if he had kept a lower profile i.e he didn't run for all those political posts. I understand that his aim was to legalise the mj industry through his posts but as we know the mainstream public wouldn't like the idea of some 'pot head' in any office or position.

I see it as once his profile and influence got larger the LEO's had no option but to shut him down. Sure LEO's have better things to do than to raid a seed bank (rapes, assaults, theft etc) but the U.S government probably realised his 'influence' in the mj industry was a far greater threat than mj itself-just my 2c :smoke :yingyang

I think anyone who is a threat to the "Big boys" with their pocketed polititions will eventually be shut down, look at the inventors of super efficient car engines who are a threat to oil company profits....if they they don't sell out their patent, they mysteriously disappear.

Multi billion dollar toxic tobacco companies would be doing the same if someone like Mark Emery started getting too big and people were taking notice.

Strangely enough, the American government who now controls Afghanistan could easily dump herbicide on the worlds biggest heroin producer and close them down overnigh, but they don't......I wonder why :shy:

WHO ARE THE REAL CRIMINALS????

The point is that Marc wasn't trying to live a comfortable life or keep a low profile, the seed business was only one way of funding political activity and legal battles in the courts.

Getting elected into office isn't the goal, legalising and regulating cannabis is. You don't need to have a pothead elected into office, you only need to attract enough votes to force the other parties change their policy, and to raise public awareness about the issue.

The timing was incredibly suspicious. The exact time this investigation started was when Marc and friends booked a table at a lunch where Drug Czar John Walters was speaking. They called him on all of his lies and heckled him from start to finish, then suddenly a major investigation is called only weeks later. Everyone knows what Marc has been doing for years, the only reason they're trying to take him down now is because he's made an absolute mockery of them and they know it.
