3x 400HPS Vs 2x 600HPS?

Recommended Posts

ive always relied on those amp ratings when setting up lights for each fuse in the house.

i always used the old formula watts / volts = amps. from google for example:

"Converting Watts to Amps

The conversion of Watts to Amps is governed by the equation Amps = Watts/Volts

For example 12 watts/12 volts = 1 amp"

also i looked at 1 of my 1000 watt euro ballasts and it has 4.2 amp printed smack bang on the side.

and i know that i can run 3 x 600 watt ballasts on a 10 amp circuit. so there is no way 600's are over 4 amp. i've always rated them at no more than 3. as i run 3 on each 10 amp power board and it never over loads.
