yeh .. but how dumb .. letting anyone in while there was a grow happening? let alone a real estate agent and complete strangers ... the agent must be a moron to accept a story like ... you can't go in there its just storage stuff :: in my experience agents would want to see ...could possibly ask to see ... and very possibly want to show the room to a prospective new tenant ....

some people must have a sub-concious urge to be busted .... or bravado that outweighs their wit ... having an inspection while growing is asking for trouble imo

It sounds like the guy had a really A1 set up but forgot about the smell or had trouble controlling the smell. He put the effort into fitting a deadlock, air con, panda film etc but maybe he lacked the knowledge or just forgot about the smell problem or the plants smell at its peak was just too potent to fully mask or remove.

 

I remember years ago I was visiting a mate in Newcatle and once I was walking down this street and was struck by the most potent mull smell from plants I have ever encountered-and that was from outside at street level. I couldnt believe that the guy had actually reached that level and not get busted due too the smell. Iwas even thinking of knocking on his door to tell him about his problem. This guy either had very 'understanding' neighbours or they were completetly oblivious to the smell. If you were a cop and had walked past this place the game would have been over in a second.

 

So the moral to the story is stealth which includes effort put in the removal/ masking of the smell. And probably more importantly if your ever lucky enough to be in the postion of selling your property its probably advisable to FINISH off the whole crop before you let complete strangers in... :smoke
