::): cheers mate .... I was thinking i could do that with a new lid on the aero tubs ... just wondering if the plant will support itself ok if it doesn't have a net ... clayballs ... to anchor in ?

I have a potential problem with the big satti i'm still growing .. she's pulling one part of the netpot into the tub and the other side is pulling out and showing some roots ... whattaya reckon? .. how does the noodle material work with a big plant sitting in it?

Yeah sory i didnt explain a lot about the mediumless buckets. Just a cut of pool noodle with a slit down the side for the stem to fit into. It expands when the stem grows. Good shit huh :)

The noodle will hold it in place till the plant get bigger. Once the roots start to fill the bucket and the plant pushes itself arround you may need to string it up for support. Just like you would do with BIG buds.

This pic is robbed from OG, thanks Joe.

Here is what i use for medium in my bubble cloner :smoke

She's so heavy now and twisting with her weight, she needs more support to keep her butt in place IMO

jjfto thanks for the clone-bubbler :thumbsup .....simplicity at its best!

Im just a ol skool grower, when i started there was none of these hydro shops with thier over-priced fancy do-hickies

but after hanging around here i've learnt heaps of things to improve my techniques....its one of the great things about OzStoners, needless to say i also run on a shoe-string budget ::):

One mans trash is another mans treasure.

My original plan was to build a bubble cloner just like this aero cloner. Only mine would bubble, not spray. So simple, so elegant.

Then when we have lots of roots wack em straight from the cloner into the DWC buckets. Just grab the clone, pool noodle and all and straight into its own bucket lid. Quick and easy tree growing.

I will have a four-bucket perpetual harvest set-up. Probably GH nutes. Just cut one or two clones every 15 or so days and harvest 1 tree every 15 or so days :) Would like a nice yielder like chronic or S.A.G.E and maybe another spare/separate bucket for exotics and things that pass my way.

Well it will all be built in the next couple of weeks and this is the place where I will show it off. Stay tuned.

Well I upgraded the bubble cloner to 4 sites but its only temp until I get a 10-litre bucket. I have a 20 litre but that’s just too big. I do have a 20-litre bucket ready to go when the clones are well rooted.

Pool Noodle $4

Bucket $0

Air pump, line, stone $15

Total: $19

Wonder what sort of trees I can grow for $19

Stay tuned to find out.

:thumbsup Awesome jjfto, you just saved me on buying clay balls and about 200ks drive.

Pool noodle ::): bloody excellent!

I got one crop to go 8wks then I'm in bubbles for sure. BTW latest crop is in 10 lt buckets (potmix/perl/ humus/worm/mush comp) on their 4th crop rotation.

Cost 85 cents each for buckets, bout 5 bucks worth of soil medium each and then ferts an power bill. But the yield is too low, pushing up the amount of plants and so the risk. The DWC yields look much better, cheaper and less risky :thumbsup

Will give the latest clones here some bubble as I've got some in water. Still have to find homes for them tho. Only need one mum now.

Keep the updates coming mate, I'll be staying tuned :)
