dope smokers in sin bin over recycling

Recommended Posts

I really thought it had to be a joke .. but no .. just the f'n media at it again... maybe there's a covert Gov witchhunt on for us followers of the green path to perdition

Its just typical behaviour by your mates and mine, the educators and informers of the public .. our trusted media people .. its the wildest story I've ever heard ... as if that many people were throwing bongs out anyway ... I dont use em but from memory they last for years ... so maybe the witchhunt is working and stoners all over Oz are hurridly getting rid of the evidence ..

lynch em all i say :devilred:

"Just one bong, or water pipe, could stop hundreds or even thousands of PET plastic bottles from being recycled because a bong's PVC hose would contaminate the material,"

It's not just the media, everything is not a conspiracy. relax.

Stoners do need to know that they can't just throw their shitty home made bongs in the recycle bin, I see no problem with getting that message out.

Yeah there's no problem with getting the message out, but to consder such a trivial, ridiculous fact actually newsworthy is just ludicrous and laughable

when you consider all the crap this world spews out each day, the odd bong is no more noteable than a grain of sand on the sea shore :devilred:

  Heya Brashi

thank as always for the info ... I'm a recycling nut (have become one for past 10 yrs) and there was some news to me there .. so pleased to be aware of it

its such bull f'n shit tho that weed smokers are targeted .. I'll bet there are 100 times as many non stoners who fuck up and put one of the forbidden items in with the rest .... I for example didnt know about take away food, yogurt, ice cream containers couldn't be recycled ... I actually heard about a year ago that now they were recycling them .. may have even been a Council notice asking for these things ...

anyway, I'll check it and thanks again, I have been guilty of the odd broken drinking glass ..and the plastic shit it seems ...

luckily i hate bongs laugh.gif and now everyone knows they need to pull the pipe .. should be ok thumbup.gif

I find it very hard to believe that of all the things that could contaminate recyclables, rubber hoses in bongs is the biggest problem out there.

True, but it was the headline of the article, so to me that suggests that homemade bongs are the worst offenders... which I find hard to believe.
Headlines are designed to get your attention sell stories so the editors tend to pick out the most controversial subject in the article and refer to that.
