Another bad story for MJ. The truth behind it, is that MJ is often as quoted as "A gateway drug", but that whole thing about gateway drugs is bullshit. Its like, if you eat a prawn and like it, your more likely to eat cray fish. Or is you start drinking in a social setting, you're more likely to smoke ciggies in a social setting. If you smoke MJ to begin with i reckon it makes you more open minded towards everything, so depending on the individual it may be more likely for them to try other drugs. I dunno, but this kids mental problems didnt stem from MJ...

Uhhh, isn't psylocybin a chemical? and cannabis?

I dunno, I reckon that it's a horses for courses thing. Watever floats your boat and doesn't make you a homicidal maniac go for it. But there are different reactions by everyone to different drugs.

Making any recreational drug illegal does not reduce use, or help those dependant or addicted to illegal rec. drugs.

The actual rates of dependence for illicit drugs, including heroin, are lower than those of alcohol and tobacco, think about that for a bit....

I've said it before and I'll say it again, read "Saying YES : In Defence of Drug Use" by Jacob Sullum, and even the most ardent drug law reformer will look at the situation differently. And those against drug law reform will simply not believe the bullshit they've been spouting all that time....

It's easy to beat up on drugs, it's not so easy to actually help those who need it when recreational drug use becomes too much for them.

When I say chems, I refer to synthetic chemicals. I should have been more specific, sorry.

People who are addicted to drugs or are using them in a destructive, irresponsible or unhealthy manner are sick people. Sick like alcoholics or people with a gambling problem. All making drugs illegal achieves is to ensure that these people are treated like criminals and subhumans instead of helped and rehabillitated.
