Psychosis link to soft drug laws

Recommended Posts

Here's a thought, that's new to me if no-one else.

Maybe because Cannabis is illegal, yet so easy to smoke, grow and sell, it gives people a feeling that the law is an easy thing to break. Thus leading them down other criminal paths. Unenforcable prohibition of a substance is only going to teach people disrespect for the law.

I know my Herbal Habit is the only thing I do to break the law... I don't even speed. But it certainly has taught me a lesson about how the law is not the watermark on right and wrong.

I am recalling this from my frequently questionable 'memory', so if I am incorrect, or you can add something to this - please do, and I apologise.

I think it's basically where too much amphetamine is taken over a long period of time and the dopamine system of the brain is permanantly damaged. It's like flicking a 'switch' in your head, and with enough of the crap, anyones switch COULD be flipped, but it's still up to personal tolerances.

My mate's mate now constantly hears noises and thinks people are after him and going to attack or harm him, and can't really go out into public places by himself. He can't hold down a job, or study, he just sits at home and tries to get better. :devilred: Oh, and takes his anti-psychosis meds and visits with psych once a week. A really sad waste of a life. I truly hope you get better soon T!
