clone is wilting

heres how i cloned soked the rockwool in water 2-3 hours shook off any excess water used a golf tee to poke a hole in the rock wool took cutting extra long made a second cut under water let it sit in the water for about 60sec than rolled the cut end in rootex powder placed cutting in cube trimmed lower leaf's than cut main set of leaf's in half put coke bottle over top its been 3 going on 4 days the clone wilted at first but after a few hours she perked right up was going nice the last few days untill today i removed the dome (once daily) than for some reason the clone wilted and hasnt recovered since whats going on? i watered the rockwoll cube a little after i seen the wilting but it wasnt dryed out

Doesn't have enough roots yet to sustain itself with the lower humidity.

 

Put the coke-bottle back on so it will have a higher humidity level and try taking it of again in a few more days.

 

If you've already got it on and the clone is STILL not perking up, try misting it with a very light dose of nutes (1/6 strength or so).

dsyfer, i have it in a standard size computer tower under a 7 watt CFL running 24/7

Eikel, yeah your right it probably doesnt have roots it has grabbed the cube i only take the coke bottle off for a minute or two each day to give it some fresh air i sprayed the clone but since than it hasnt perked back up that was a good 4-5 hours

mate i reckon jffto has a point ... water cloning works and I havent been using a heat mat or humidi cover for the tray .... all clones thriving (not rooting ) ...yet ... a few are .. can recommend you try this system ... maybe try one cut in water next to all the others and then comapre .. it does work :smoke
