Water curing experiment

Recommended Posts

I'm also water curing -- because I'm moving house soon and can't be buggered and don't have the time to do the 10 day flush followed by 30 days of burping, air drying etc.

I heard from mates, that watered-cured bud, although lacking in that nice fresh sweet air-dried aroma and taste -- lasts longer because it's THC concentration is much stronger ie. you only need one or two cones to get really ripped!

I have to admit when I first heard of water curing I was very cynical. When I started my experiment I was still cynical. When I took the sopping wet buds ouf of the water on day 7 I thought I had been the victim of a practical joke!

When I finally took the un-manicured buds out, the leaves where still green and buds had gone grayish. Anyway, I dried them overnight with a small electirc fan / heater on low and some distance from the buds.

Next morning I was amazed how much shrinkage had occured!! They seemed like 5 times smaller.

Anyway, I chopped it all up (leaf and all, remember I hardly manicured) and tried a cone.

Well, I was amazed. There was absolutely 0 taste - nothing...the smoke was cool and clean, no hint of chlorophyll which surprised me. As I am not a (tobacco) smoker, any harshness makes me cough....this smoke was smooth, but tastless.

And the hit? Well, there was no loss of potency as far as I can tell...maybe a little stronger.

Anyway, it does work, but I have to admit that I do prefer the taste of traditionally well cured bud!!

I gave a sample to a mate. Will give you his feedback soon!!

:thumbsup
