Water curing experiment

W/up!! mY first post, Im a colombian, South American Grower, I have try lots of seeds from everywhere in the world, here in colombian land and kinds of weather, I just move and did not have time also so iI cure my buds in a container full of water at 8 degrees celsius, and mannnn 2 tell u the truth .... dont remember what happen i smoke tha shit!!!!

 

 

I'm also water curing -- because I'm moving house soon and can't be buggered and don't have the time to do the 10 day flush followed by 30 days of burping, air drying etc.

 

I heard from mates, that watered-cured bud, although lacking in that nice fresh sweet air-dried aroma and taste -- lasts longer because it's THC concentration is much stronger ie. you only need one or two cones to get really ripped!

I am also trying the same thing with a small plant that I jsut picked. I put it in a zip lock bag of water yesterday. I did my water change this morning and I could not resist drinking the water. It tasted like bud and my breath smelled for hours after. I will let everybody know how it goes for me. Is a dehumidifier a good way to dry out the bus after???

after shaking my head for about 5 mins, i thought you deserved a reply anyways you have just lost most of the falvour and smell from your herb and quick drying it will only make it worse i recommend hanging the buds up for a week, but if you are desperate for a smoke quick drying it wont hurt the buds too much, but you will end up with a much higher quality product if you just wait for the buds to dry naturally

Have you tried this method ever??? Or are you just talking? I would hope that you have at least tried this and not forming an opinion and making comments with no data or personal experience at all.

 

In this world I am a big chump. I would love to grow sweet plants and have the time to do it. I am a VERY BIG fan or the herbs, and always have been. At this point in my life as a 36 year old guy living in the USA for me at least it is the biggest pain in the ass to get good bud or even get a good source that is not some shit head skum bag that I risk getting caught by the police. I would be happy to just get a good source that has decent buds and not charge me stupid prices. I grew one plant purely by accident and it grew pretty good. So figured that I would take half and do the water thing because I have NO source for my smoke and took the rest and did the regular old school method. I dont drink because I am an asshole more when I drink and smoking after the kids go to bed and playing video games like a 12 year old is my relax at the end of a long day.

 

I have enjoyed reading the forums here and what a wealth of information there is. Also there is little if any dickheads here making stupid comments just to piss people off, and lots of health good information. People actually take time to help other here out!!!

in short yes i have tried all that and i know what im on about if you are getting shitty quality commercial gear than a water cure might be in order to get rid of all the nurtients, salts, etc. that have built up in the buds, but if you are growing your own you should have flushed the plants clean of those same things a week before harvesting so water curing isnt required and you end up with a much higher quality product

yeah a dehumidifer is a good way to dry them out again, personally i am one day going to try making a hash run out of water cured buds, i figure that if the water brings out all the colour then the hash water should stay clean and hence the hash should be of a higher quality, if any one has tried this let me know.
