Police Seize Cannabis

A man will appear in court next month after being charged with drug offences at Panania yesterday.

 

About 8am police from Bass Hill Target Action Group, with the assistance of State Protection Group (SPG) Dog Unit, executed a search warrant on a home in Malvern Street.

 

During the search police seized 206 cannabis plants worth an estimated potential street value of $412,000 as well as a large amount of equipment used for hydroponic cultivation.

 

As a result a 44-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

 

He was charged with cultivate prohibited plant (indictable amount) and possess prohibited plant (indictable amount).

 

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on 10 November 2005.
