Soil PH ?

I was reading that the best PH for soil for hemp is from a range of 6 to 6.5 ?

 

I went to a soil shop and asked for a premium potting mix with the PH range of 6 to 6.5 and the soil she gave me says its ACIDIC......... for Roses etc.....

 

Surely hmep doesnt like Acidic soil ???

 

It doesnt say the exact PH on bag it just says ACID..............

 

will this be ok ?

or can someone recommend a good potting mix soil that i can get here in South OZ ?

I am outdoor growing, not hydro

Hey bud, glad to see another crow eater, go to Bunnings and get the Dynamic Lifter potting mix, it is completely organic, and the PH is spot on on all the bags I have bought so far. You can get a soil PH test kit there for $10 i think.

 

My guys seem to be thriving in it.

Just remembered I had this chart that shows how PH levels affect the nutrients. So I wouldn't go with something that says acidic, because acidic means anything under a PH of 7. Go with the dynamic lifter potting mix, as I said I have tested 5 bags and all were pretty much spot on 6.5-6.8.

Yeah, I've found that one to be pretty good too, I like to mix a bit of perlite in my potting mixes too, it improves the drainage.
