Police remove baby in drug raid

A four-month-old baby boy has been removed from a home in Sydney's south-west during a drug raid by police.

 

Detectives from the South-East Asian Crime Squad say they have charged a couple after discovering a sophisticated cannabis set-up in the home at south Liverpool.

 

Police seized 90 plants and 40 bags of leaf with a potential street value of more than $300,000, as well as hydroponic equipment.

 

Police spokeswoman Sue Thompson says two people will appear in court later today on various charges.

 

"A 24-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested at the house and taken to Liverpool police station for questioning," she said.

 

"Also a four-month-old baby boy was removed from the home by police and is currently in the care of NSW Department of Community Services.

 

"The couple were charged overnight with a number of drug offences and also the theft of electricity."

If you steal power, on the other hand, they can notice the loss in a district and quickly isolate it to a suburb, then a sub-station, then the house.
