Cannabis worth $1 million seized

Cannabis worth $1 million and stolen property has been seized in a police raid in western Sydney.

 

A woman, 41, was charged with having goods in custody and cultivating a prohibited plant and was bailed to appear in Liverpool Court on November 3.

 

Police found 300 plants and $22,000 in cash while executing a search warrant at a house in Unwin Road, Cabramatta West late on Thursday morning.

 

They said sophisticated cultivation equipment in the house included heat lamps, shades, transformers and exhaust fans.

 

 

 

A man, 41, was questioned and released pending further inquiries.

In the eyes of the law, each separate plant has an estimated street value of $4000 no matter what stage of growth it's in.

All the raids latley around sydney are from the Asian Crime Squad cleaning out those cheap arse asian growers - because those fuckers sell there weed really cheap so they can buy huge amounts of "ice and herion", which forces out alot of really good ozzie growers and shuts down alot of hydro shops aswell as fucking up alot pf peoples lives with hard drugs.

Not sure if it's my paranoia, but is it possible that they are using infra-red technology at night to search for 'hot' roofs, as in people growing in their ceiling spaces?

I think most states use this technology now, I'm pretty sure WA does.

yep chev is right, only cost the gov $5000 each time they take the chopper out? they come back with a $1mill bust :angry: i live near two airports bankstown and hoxton park so i have alot of air activity over my house atlease 50 helis a day/night i am use to there presents and watch closely its pretty obvious what they are doing late at night hoving above houses with no lights on but than again if u look at how many million dollar bust are made around south western sydney each year is amazing how many growers there are and the only ones who get busted are pinching electricity
