Man charged after drug raid

30sep05

CANNABIS plants with a potential street value of almost $100,000 have been found in a police raid on on the NSW Central Coast.

Police said they searched a property at Budgewoi about 3pm (AEST) yesterday and allegedly found a hydroponic setup in a garage, along with 49 cannabis plants.

A 41-year-old Budgewoi man was charged with cultivating and possessing a prohibited plant, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited weapon, not having a firearm in safekeeping, and two counts of possessing unregistered firearms.

He was bailed to appear in Wyong Local Court on October 26.

This is fucked...this guy (and his family - 5 kids, 2 young ones who were definitely there when the cops held a gun to their fathers head) lives 3 streets away from me...the firearms in question are a BB gun and a scoped air-rifle.

I, however, have had no relations with the man... lol :whistling

I feel sorry for the family...the way the government goes about shit these days...1 mother, 5 kids, could lose house, pension etc....not a fun time.

I'm not too sure how the cops normally go about these things...but judging by the method they used to raid the house, I'm presuming they were tipped off by someone who knew about the house, or had been in the house...I don't see how they could justify their actions without the knowledge that he was "armed".

Selling? Don't know.

That many plants in a garage is just stupid.

but that no excuse for the big blue gang to act like assholes.

How did they find him ? Was he selling

I assume he was with that many plants. I grow only to supply myself and one plant is more than enough.

As for the pigs, why did they wait for school to finish before coming in like wankers.
