about to change lights

So, amazingly, Ive gotten to the stage where its time to change the lighting to 12/12..........

 

When do I change to bloom nut's ? I think I remember reading some where to stay with "grow nut's " for the first week of 12/12.

 

Any thoughts...

I change nutrients when I change the lights over, others will wait up to two weeks, personal preference really.

I change nutes over when I go 12/12. This could be just after a water with veg nutes, then it could be 3 - 4 days after I go 12/12. :smoke

 

 

In your pic you are using chicken wire as a net. I was taken once when it was suggested to me to use some "plastic trellis. I was told the wire cuts the stem when your tying down/threading/weaving the plant in the net & avoids unessacary damage to the plant - just a hint.

you should check out the grow diary by Tugboat for scrogging - its amazing and its the plastic trellis stuff - also, I switched to flowring nues as part of the changeover process - a few books I've read recommend it - two days into it they seem to be fine ... even loving it. I decided not to SCROG and instead on advice from tugboat, frazzle and others, I tied all mine down ... and it works

Got the chicken wire idea from scrogging over on "OG" forums.

Im not weaving it through, more useing the wire to hold the branches down,

I really cant see it damaging the plant, it dosnt damage the sweet peas in the garden and they have a much softer stem on them than MJ.

I did have a friend who used alluminium security door mesh, he said it got too warm.

 

This is my first grow, so it's all kind of an experiment

 

P.S. thats a 6 inch fan sitting next to the plant.

A lot of scroggers move the stems around under the mesh, I find it easier to let them grow through the mesh then tie them down on top as required.....it makes for less breakage as well as being easier on the old back.

I was planning to mix a 50/50 mixture of normal nutes and blooming nutes for my first batch. I have a 200litre res so that would last for the first 10 days of flowering, then go full bloom nutes. Hmm I read that somewhere :scratchin apparently the plants still thrive of the stuff in normal nutes for the first couple weeks.
