Semi-Bleached new growth?

Hey all,

Thanks for everyone's advice, no progress so far though :D

The plant is still stretching quite a bit (2nd week of flower) and apart from the visible problem, seems to be pretty happy with life.

@Animal - Thanks mate, but I always veg for a minimum 7 days (these had 10) in the higher-light levels to get them accustomed to the environment. Consider yourself forgiven :P

@Tom - Yeah, but you're more knowledgeable than myself even with a wrong answer :P

@Luke - As stated, I tried upping mg with salts, unfortunately no good :P I hadn't thought of the Iron def though, thanks for that! :thumbsup

I'm beginning to think it's not a ph-related problem, I'll continue feedings/waterings with ph 6.0 until Friday when I have to mix a nute batch, if the problem hasn't started to recover by then I think I'll restore my ph to 6.2-6.4 and add some iron salts.

Again everyone - thanks for your input and advice, keep it comin'

I've only grown 3 times indoor (the third is two weeks from harvest now) but it's all been in coco/perlite and Canna vega and flores + PK13/14. I clean it after each harvest and use it again.

Throughout all three grows i've mantained a PH of between 5.5 and 6

When I've let it get a little higher i've found some plants are suseptable to yellowing on the fan leaves especialy the lower ones.

I wouldn't write the PH issue off yet and I'd recommend dropping it to below 6.

pH is more likely to be the problem than a genuine deficiency. Keep your pH in that 5.5 - 6.0 region regardless, better to be on the lower side than the higher one.

Try the thumper foliar feed in the meantime, and I'm sure it will help as it contains nitrogen, phosphorus Pentoxide, Potassium Oxide, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Manganese. This should at least provide the required elements to the deficient parts of the plant whilst you ensure good conditions at the root zone.

Keep us updated. :D

Keep us updated. :peace:

Hehe, which I haven't done (as usual - heh sorry!).

Well, I put my PH back to where I normally have it and just decided to ignore the WS.

I dropped my ph further and then immediately took it back up when the other 3 plants (which were healthy previously) started to yellow-up after being fed the low-ph solutions.

On the bright side, the WS seems to have gotten over whatever was bothering it and has overtaken the AK47 in terms of it's bud development.

If anyone's interested I updated the pics on the grow-thread (second listed in my sig) last weekend.

Thought so.  Ph would not be the problem if you were keeping it at 6.5 in coco.

Same here, but I had alot of advice otherwise from people I know and whos opinions I respect... so I tried it anyway. Next time I won't stress so much over a few "yellowy/bleached" leaves. :peace:

i get this problem eikel every time i move the veg under HPS from MH.

im not sure why it happens but i veg first weeks under pure MH, then when they get big i move em under HPS before flower and they show symptons, yellowing leaves around top, curling leaves etc.

out of necessity i had to replace one of the MH globes in the veg room 2 wks ago. the plant under the HPS globe went funny! alll the rest under the MH stayed beautiful. even the edges of the plants vegging next to the HPS showed symptons! its very bizarre.

have u ever had this problem
