Two to a Basket?

Recommended Posts

I have a few pots (clayballs) running at the moment and in a few I have more than one sprout - in one case the two (hopefully) sisters are now about 6" tall, really really bushy (see pic) and i can't decide which, if either, should be the unlucky loser :scratchin :P

does anyone have any experience with this? I'd hate to make the wrong decision

last pix - the pot with two is on the left - these two are of unknown genetic origins but came from a killer bag

the plants to the left are White Widow and Northern Lights

+ one shot from a week or so before

any advice on the two on the left growing together would be appreciated

I also have a few other double and triple pots going to the far right of the pic which I will soon have the same problem with :P

so you think they will really cramp each others style?

yep, but if you trained them very well, it wouldnt matter all that much, especially if the plants wont be vegged much longer....

Time to slice & dice, ya murderer wink.gif

Main thing is to give the sister some room, besides you'll never know if ya picked "the right one" toss a coin

murderer? it would be better for him IMO to slice a cutting or 2 off the plants to keep the strains alive + for sexing....would be able to pick the right plant within a week or 2 if he rooted the cutting under 12/12 + then once the cutting is showing sex, he can start to vege it and get another crop under way :thumbsup well thats what i would do anyways.....

if you cant or dont want to take cuttings now, then i would just leave them be and check on them a few times a day to make sure that any males are removed BUT i wouldnt just flip a coin on it, i'd rather be certain im keeping a female + you never know, they could both be female and different phenos so you wouldnt want to throw out a potentially amazing plant just because you have to remove one of them.....

heya wantda

yeh I was just reading this morning about that - book called sea of green by Hans? I think I'm ready to attempt my first cloning ... seems like the best way to go ... it would be awesome if they both turn out to be female - and they're both doing so well, next to impossible to pick it .. would definately have to flip the coin if i was gonna resort to genocide :P

think I'l do the cloning in the next few days and the results will be inthe grow diary,

thanks dude :thumbsup

Unless you want to scrog them, yeah they will cramp each other

WDC got the right idea, clone them then do the dirty deed  :P

Hi Frazzle

i was reading a grow diary post by Tugboat last night and i got inspired to go out and try and find some of that white plastic screen he used ... and the shower curtain rings .. inspired i reckon that was ... have been reading about scrog and it looks like the way to get the most out of the kinda space i have ... not sure tho' about how crowded it'll get in my chamber ... I'm gonna post this info in my grow diary and see if anyone has opinions on scrog'ing in a chamber like mine.

thanks for advice dude :thumbsup
