Auto-Pot System

Recommended Posts

autopots are a good low maintenance and compact system.

There are two main advantages to autopots. The first is that it lets the plant regulate its own watering making overwatering and root rot less likely. The 2nd is that the pots do not have to be raised like in most other systems so you save on head height. They are also low maintenance and hooked up to a decent sized reservoir can be left unattended for days or even weeks.

The disadvantage of autpots is that they are a passive watering system and you simply won't get the growth rates of a flood and drain or DWC for example. They won't take twice as long or anything like that but they will be a little slower.

Because autopots are a passive low height and low maintenance system they are good for keeping mothers. Also, if you want to save money don't buy the complete auto pot system just buy one smart valve and make your own. Let me know via PM if you need help doing this in case I miss this thread again.

In where it would take u say 8 weeks flowering in dwc/ebb how long rkn it would take in auto-pots? only reason im still considering is its cheap ready setup system that the pots sit really low.. but yea keep it coming guys ;)

It might add a week onto your grow, if that. Its not enough to concern yourself with. If autopot looks like the system you want to run then go for it. Its low maintenance, low head height, and does not require power or timers, so there's a lot of plus side to it.

i did a grow with my drip system, water on when 600w is on, 2 plants 1 clone 1 seed, supposed original hawian strain which after talking to few locals seems pretty legit.. anyway i dont think it liked being indoor koz it just wanted to grow taller and taller and taller even 4-6 weeks into flower!(*^)(!@, had a classic cactis style growthand when it finally did flower all the arms had a huge difference in bud growth.. asin some had V can with buds where other had none.. anyway currently growing one outdoor atm which has stayed really short after tipping.. but it survived frost etc so prolly stressed it into flower.. looking good.. has basically no smell and from the stuff ive tried from same seeds grown by a 20 year grower, remember feeling drunk it was that strong.

Probably has to do with me running my water ineffienctly, was my first grow indoor got some solid genetic's on the way from PS being a closet grow i personally think this strain prefers outdoors as the one outdoor atm is doing fine.. <end ramble>
