Cannabis use damages teen brains

Recommended Posts

Any substance that alters the thought and perception patterns of the brain can bring to the surface underlying mental issues, and can include MJ, alcohol, any opiate, synthetic drugs, caffeiene, nicotine, sugar, preservatives.

Living in this day and age, is enough to bring out psychological issues, that is why there are so many studies being done relating to food additives and preservatives, in relation to ADHD in children.

Heya Meerkat

I reckon the research is in ... everyone that uses mdma will eventually hit a point where they have used up their supply of seratonin ... check around, do you know many people that have taken many doses over say 5-10 years and can still say the pills are working?

You dont use up your supply of Seratonin, your body will always keep producing it, what the danger is, is that if you abuse MDMA or MDA or other similar drugs that you will damage your seratonin receptors and thus even though you still have the happy juice, you cant make use of it. Thats why it is important to do it properly, in controlled amounts, don't abuse it, and only use the pure stuff, if you cant get the pure stuff, then dont do it IMO. Back in Canada where pure stuff is available and many of my freinds I would classify as intellgent and responsible about their drug use have been using MDMA and MDA for a long time. I know people who have been doing it for around 20 years and are still going strong, not depressed, leading great lives, etc...

I'm interested in this 5-HTP stuff, anyone have good info?

I swear by 5HTP, I never have negative, depressing come downs or hang overs after MDMA/MDA, The whole trip is perfect, thanks to 5HTP

In Canada you can buy it at grocery stores and such in the vitamin section, but here in Australia you can only get it by going to a natropath store and you have to tell them why you need it, etc... its used for insomnia, so just say that...

I was just in NZ and they sell 5HTP in head shops

What do you reacon to the thoery that cannabis doesnt cause mental health issues it only enhances problems within a person that may previously have been dormant

I personaly know of someone who, back in High school was at a party and was offered a cone, he had never puffed the green before and it caused a psychotic episode.......poor dude spent the next two weeks in a psyche ward.

Edit:

never have negative, depressing come downs

I like coming down, as much as going up :D

I take em daily ... :D trying to make up for past mistakes .. definately work for insomnia and depression - you can also take one or two before going out and taking other things .... as a booster ... you can also take them 'morning after' .. but I'm with Gush, I used to enjoy the morning after nearly as much as the ight before ... its just the long term cumulative effects of very heavy regular use that cause the big probs I think.

:whistling

Cannabis makes little rats more likely to use heroin. So what? It’s an animal. That means it’s not subject to human devices like guilt.

...This sounds a bit alarming to me as a youngin  I started using mj daily...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Relax.

I believe that the body makes appropriate signals about substances it is consuming, for example: a body’s reaction to and state of health from a drug during its use is indicative of its long term health consequences. Nature has provided us with a sensitivity such as sickness, which is effective. It’s like the hedonist idea that if it feels good it must be good. That’s how humans are supposed to be like in a garden of Eden. Therefore the positive effects of getting stoned are an indication that marijuana is also harmless health-wise. Contrast that to tobacco or alcohol which will or can make you sick to be indicative of their proven long-term health dangers. The body produces sickness to flag something that could cause an illness. Enter, stage right these perverts of nature, the drug prohibitionists who say what feels good is bad and that drugs are bad. They say that heroin is evil and that marijuana is evil too because it increases the evil by increasing the likelihood of caged rats to partake of evil by taking more heroin. Of course, these condemners forget that every human has opiates in their body and that they’re there for a reason and being natural that reason is good and decent, such as to suppress pain and give pleasure.

Now forget these drug condemners and think about this rat living in a cage which must be miserable because its only company would be anti-marijuana researchers like Yasmin Hurd. It would be painful. The researchers have provided a drug which will make it seem like heaven. It’s the next best thing to living a normal rat life. The cannabis makes the rat realize what a lousy existence it has all the more and so, in my view, becomes more effective at finding pleasure. Pot is an enhancer and that’s what it does to the brain of these rats. Makes them super smart and super cool. ;) It’s the researchers who are dumb-asses. ;)

Yasmin Hurd is not an objective scientist. She was payed to "find something wrong with marijuana" and that’s what she’ll do even if it defies principle. She’s got to pay the bills somehow, right? Come on, it's a great job! She is full of "Freudian slips" indicating her contrived state of mind like when she stated that "cannabis is a dirty plant" because it contains many types of cannabinoids. What’s the medical definition of "dirty" and who said that cannabinoids are bad in the first place? They’re non-toxic and quite medicinal, thank you. Yasmin, if you don’t like weed than I won’t invite you around for a cone but keep your payed-off opinions to your self, ;). You lie about cannabis and I'll bet even some part of you knows it, in your dirty little cannabinoid and opiate riddled mind (true)! God, can't you get the cannabinoids out of your own body? Oh no, you're dirty Yasmin, on the inside. I suggest drinking peroxide to clean your veins of this dirty sin.

Yasmin's diary:

December 12, 2005

Dear diary:

6:00am, Getting ready for work. Today we will addict more baby rats to heroin. It's cold here in Sweden but the govt is strongly prohibitionist so the fire will be warm tonight, if you know what I mean – they pay well.

3:30pm, afternoon tea. Rats babies on heroin withdrawal make a hell of a racket, which reminds me we have too many right now. Note to self: destroy at least 50 baby rat addicts by lunch time tomorrow. Other sundry housekeeping. Pick up groceries.

4:35pm, Knock off time, took taxi home. Driver kept looking in his rear-view mirror at me, I think he is Arabic. He had a turban and smelled bad. Maybe he thinks I am an African sex worker here on contract. Ha! I would never sell myself for money.

7:35pm, Unwinding from another good day proving the ills of marijuana. Phew, that's tough work. I can't wait till Judging Amy comes on tonight, I think it's a double episode! God, I miss American cable and hairdryers! Goddamn Aryan Scandinavians, none of the men here take a second look at me at the night club. Perhaps they have heard of my anti-cannabis stance and are all smokers? I'm so lonely .
