Expanding an Auto Pot system

Recommended Posts

$120 - 180? I think not my friend. For frigging plastic?

I've had good luck with my Auto Pot system. Grown some nice BubbleBerry buds amongst others and this is a shot of some tester strains I had a go at growing out for Maud Dib. Maybe not the best use of space in my growroom B) but I'm look to increase the number of plants - increasing yields as well :thumbsup

haha yea what a rip hey ! screw you hydropot !

you can buy those little "smart valve" things seperately and rig yourself up something . infact its just a float valve like in your toilet right hardware store probably has something similar for 1/10th the price .

basically you want a bucket , small res for the bucket to sit in and the float valve .

you could also dump the vavle and use timers and pumps for similar effect

exactly. Screw the premade autopot system. Just buy one smart valve, or autopot valve or whatever your hydro store happens to call them. hook up your pots and trays through 13mm or 19mm hose connected at the bottom of each one the same as a bubbler system and there is no limit to the amount of pots you can connect to work off the one valve. If you already have an autopot setup, just tee off it. As long as ALL the pots are connected back to the tray with the smart valve in it it should work. Only thing you have to watch out for is blockages and in particular a blockage in your autopot valve. Inline filters are a good idea.
