  1. there is one phenotype that genuinly comes on early and is a smoke you can be proud to have in youre tin. This is picked by the leaves looking more indica than the others. This strain is to unstable and you can end up with plants that dont finish till may.Dont let me put you of though as they are all some of the most amazing producers i have had(except skunk#1).I went the feminized seeds and maybe this didnt help and i should have stuck to cloning.I live in southern hemisphere of australia and alot of people winged there wasnt enough of a summer last season but these girls still produced no worries.GOOD LUCK WITH THEM
  2. I did early skunk for my 2010-2011 grow. You have to get to know the phenotypes to get the potency with the yield. The size of these plants is amazing and the yield was close to the best i've done yet(between 3-5 lbs)Just posting the pics now as i was bit to nervous last season.Feel free to ask questions on the strain
  3. week five with outdoors you should be giving these plants way more nutes and i would guess probably water. It pays to go organics for massive nitrogen without burning and work your way into chemical ferts slowly gaining understanding of what your plants can take.
  4. [attachment=61392:IMG_2273.JPG]here is some early skunk plants i did this season.Cant show ones that are not tied down as they are not handy for pics.Only plant in the pics that isnt 2 meters or over spreads out 5 meters in length.Have not grown early skunk before but will give an update once i sample buds.Got some ever reliable strains happening but its getting to the time of year when i get very quite and paranoid so we will wait till the end before i show every thing of.
  5. oh yeah they were hydroteon clay balls in net pots going into a bubbler system that is currently being top fed
  6. i think its under control now.I did rinse them really well until there was no dust being washed of them.Adjusted my ph and when next checked it was 7.2 adjusted again(5.8)and next day 7.0.Never mind problem is fixed and it looks like plants have forgiven me.
  7. For the first time since this started i enjoy going into my room and just looking at the oncoming buds that should be ready just before christmas.I did try taking a photo with my phone but it didnt do the plants justice. Before i write next blog ill make sure i try with my camera.Iam sure ive gone alittle too big withmy plants for just one 600 hps but i can live with that.
  8. just got a new system up and running as the one i have going is running well and i am feeling a bit better about the whole indoor thing.I have used clay balls and did not realize that they would be so persistant in pushing my ph up.Is this just a case of persisting with ph adjusting until it finally stabilizes.Should have done this before putting plants in but didnt know until too late.
  9. I have 4 plants that have just had the light cycle changed over to 12/12.They are now oprox 50cm tall and incredibly bushy. When im growing outdoors i will never remove one tip or leaf and consider this to be a crime. However i can see a need to prune my indoor plants but would like advice on the best time to do this.I was thinking that it would be best to wait until about he the third week of budding after the plants have the last of there veg growing out of the way and am able to see the buds developing.Could someone please give me a little input on how you do youre plants or just reassure me im on the right track
  10. thanks for that idea,Im going to get some larger square containers now.So simple but dont know if i would have thought of it
  11. just went into my grow room to find res near empty and water all over floor. On closer inspection discovered one of my pots overflowing.I lifted the pot out to see what was going on to discover roots had grown half the length of my return hose.I cant deal with this at the moment(have fixed immediate problem but this will probably happen again). So in the morning i was going to organize overflow lines on each of the pots, but this still doesnt solve all my problems so i would really appreciate some advice on this as its stressing me out.I have 20 litre sattelite pots with perlite as the medium.
  12. Please be patient with me here.I cant see that if i am drawing air out how fresh air is not replacing it as the hot air goes through to the other side of a wall and for fresh air to not replace it wouldnt i have to have an airtight vacumm happening.
  13. have not added anything to my blog in a while as they have been veging and who wants to know about the awesome leaf that youre growing.Plants look healthy and happy as and i have now turned my lights down to 12/12.Took 20 odd cuttings from a mother plant 2 days ago to get an sog going under 2 600 cool lights with a recirculatig bubbler setup.I should have this up and running hopefully by next week.I have also put one or two advanced seedlings (feminized early skunk)out in the bush.I know these will reward me much more kindly than will my big bud plants happening indoors but have been getting a real kick out of the indoor growing as it is all relatively new to me.I will give a bit of an update on my BB as soon as they start to excite me alittle bit more.Just have to remind myself that "From little things big things grow".Öh yeah i almost forgot,I still have my plants on veg nutes waiting until i see some white hairs before changing to flora nutes as i would do for outdoor plants.Could someone please let me know if i am making a mistake there.
  14. just finished doing a setup with 2 600HPS cool lights.I have my ducting running out through vent i made but have not set up ducting for air intake as i was wandering if i left ducting off would this also take the air out of the room or would this warmer air stop my lights running as cool as they should. On the site where i order my equipment from they had an end cap with a flap going only one way so air could be drawn in but none come out but i cant see why you would use this as the air is only going to go one way while the fan is on any way.Can some one please explain these things to me.
  15. is it allright to calibrate a tds meter(ppm)with 2.76 conductivity solution(1380 ppm after conversion)
