Hi Hi everyone, It's been a while since i last did this so I'll try to make it short and sweet. This time round I've decided to run with just two plants in a "pickle bucket" DWC setup, rooted in rockwool cubes within net pots filled with perlite, grown in a scrog style sweet and sour sauce..... The tent is an Indoor Elements brand Mylar tent, the dimensions are 900mm X 500mm X 1600mm My last grow (for those who are keeping score at home, was using floor dimensions of 900mm X 500mm) developed an issue regarding usable height...there just wasn't enough of it......not a problem this time round. Ok so here's the story. After a failed outdoor attempt with some questionable bag seeds I ordered in an Afghan strain of which I received 10 seeds plus 20 free random seeds. I thought I would practice on the random seeds before trying the Afghan as this is my first attempt at an indoor grow. I am using CFLs because I am a student and cash is a problem and also I have very little space to work with. I started 6 germinated seeds in soil/perilite (80/20) under two 36watt fluro tubes 24/7. Well i thought i'd start a simple grow diary. Still got the better part of a month of 12/12 to go as calyx swell has only just started, but the room is full of cola (not to mention smell). Strains are Sensi Star and Super Skunk which finish up at the same time. Lights are 2 x 1000 hps and 1 x 1000 mh. System is NFT. I was away for a fortnight so I left it hooked up to a gravity fed float valve of 200lt 1/2 strength hydro nutes. A spate of hot weather kicked in and made the plants surge. I did get some slight burn on some leaves on the tallest plants from being too close to the lights. But over all it's all good. Handy to know I can leave the grow for a fortnight and it be ok.

Hey guys this is my 5 month old sativa outdoor plant. its 3 foot tall from the base of the stem to the tip of the head stem. what you guys think heres some pics. this is the longest of the 2 head stems its 80cm long (i toped this plant)

In planning stages. This is the best mock-up I can come up with before committing. Scrog, run to waste Coco/rockwool 6inch pot 550mm x 600mm X 230mm 4x CFL - Not 100% sure yet Temp : unknown 1 plant Bagseed Hopefully yield 1oz The big blue box is a exhaust/carbon filter. I am looking for the smallest centrifugal fan or similar that will have enough pressure to pull through a carbon filter. The carbon filter will be home made as I cant find any small enough.

Joining this forum has given the inspiration to try and smoke a bit less, what you say were here to smoke more well thats the plan. The money I didnt spend on weed I spent on equipment. I bought a CFL but it aint compact thats for sure its 130 watts @ a color temp of 14000K. The plan is to grow in coco and water by hand as I am never away and its cheaper. Will be adding a 400w HPS when the time comes for flowering. So the seeds are cracked and in presoaked rockwool cubes. I dont have a good camera well its a webcam so... Hey guys, Still waiting on my seeds but am getting my grow area ready so consider this Pre-Grow for now. Grow area is a Home made Grow Tent. Looks a mess at the moment. The plastic on the right was tight but I unsecured it for cutting for when I grab my fan and install the ventilation as necessary. Here's what I'll be using to grow.
