Hey all, I started a few plants about a month ago and i had them in pots, but got paranoid about the po po (after taking my first crop) so i moved them further into the bush in plot i had been preparing for a month b4 hand. After taking a shovel into the bush i discovered that the soil in the bush is not so bad slightly clay like but i fixed that with a mix of some gypsum, Hommus and some bunnings soil. I have approx 20 plants in this space, while its small only measuring 2x3m im basically waiting till sexing then ill cull the males and move the females around the bush into seperate patches. Today I started preparing the plot for my afgahni babies .... I have the best area down the back of the house to plant these babies. Its totally hidden from the view of the house. THis is the view from the back door This is the area ; Here is what I have done to prepare the ground.. Any feedback appreciated Then added cow manure and grass clippings to the soil. My oldest Skunk#1 mum went into 12/12 tonight Potted her up into an 18lt nappy bucket with the bottom drilled, in Coco with maybe 5 or 10% perlite in it (mostly recycled) and 2" of clay balls at the bottom. Giving her the full H&G range all the way through...

Hello fellow stoners, I had a topic up over a year ago of my plans for a grow room but it died a quick death because it was gonna be ages untill those plans could become a reality as I was still livin with Mum and saving up for a place of my own. Hi Hi everyone, It's been a while since i last did this so I'll try to make it short and sweet. This time round I've decided to run with just two plants in a "pickle bucket" DWC setup, rooted in rockwool cubes within net pots filled with perlite, grown in a scrog style sweet and sour sauce..... The tent is an Indoor Elements brand Mylar tent, the dimensions are 900mm X 500mm X 1600mm My last grow (for those who are keeping score at home, was using floor dimensions of 900mm X 500mm) developed an issue regarding usable height...there just wasn't enough of it......not a problem this time round. Ok so here's the story. After a failed outdoor attempt with some questionable bag seeds I ordered in an Afghan strain of which I received 10 seeds plus 20 free random seeds. I thought I would practice on the random seeds before trying the Afghan as this is my first attempt at an indoor grow. I am using CFLs because I am a student and cash is a problem and also I have very little space to work with. I started 6 germinated seeds in soil/perilite (80/20) under two 36watt fluro tubes 24/7. Well i thought i'd start a simple grow diary. Still got the better part of a month of 12/12 to go as calyx swell has only just started, but the room is full of cola (not to mention smell). Strains are Sensi Star and Super Skunk which finish up at the same time. Lights are 2 x 1000 hps and 1 x 1000 mh. System is NFT. I was away for a fortnight so I left it hooked up to a gravity fed float valve of 200lt 1/2 strength hydro nutes. A spate of hot weather kicked in and made the plants surge. I did get some slight burn on some leaves on the tallest plants from being too close to the lights. But over all it's all good. Handy to know I can leave the grow for a fortnight and it be ok.
