Hey guys 'n gals, What is a good way to reduce the PH of the solution in your reservoir? I have been adding vinegar (~ 1/4 tea spoon per 2 litres) but this seems to dissipate rather quickly (2 - 3 days) maybe the plastic is absorbing it...? I've read that citric acid does the job, but i've only been able to find it in powder form for baking; do you think this will harm my plants? Or should i just purchase a ph stabilizer from a hydro shop? cheers

Hi all I hav a small scale box 780w 820h 60d and j am thinking of whacking a 400/600 watt aircooled reflector hps for flower and I want to use a PVC nft system and If anyone has any experience with this like plant size or yield would b great thanks

Hey Guys I just got a new light and it does not switch on. When I power it up a small blue spark flashes every now and again but no light? I have a ballast which it came with and I am not sure what is going wrong? It is housed in a cool tube. Picture attached sorry for the crappy quality. Any ideas? Thanks.

hi all. i am starting a project with 2 main tubs, 1 plant per tub. 2 tubs per plant 1 for medium and the plant and 1 for the water flow and roots to grow in. I will be using clayballs as the medium as well as horse shoes with a 500lph pump to feed the 2 plants. For the water flow i will use 3000lph pump that will pump the water from the resivor to each bottom pot to keep a nice flow going. I am vegging 2 plants for 8 weeks becuase i want to pull atleast 2 pound per plant, i am pulling 1 pound per plant vegging them for 4 weeks so what do use think about vegging them for 8 weeks? also take into consideration the 2 plants will have 1 full 1000 watt light each to grow under…

Couple of questions.Im not sure how much water to put in a dwc bucket.Is it about half inch past the bottom of the net pot?Also if using perlite as medium should it be watered from the top aswell if the perlite dries out a bit. Also if someone used thrive fert for outdoor plants in their dwc bucket is that ok untill they got some proper nutrient? And how often does the nutrient have to be added?I know water should be replaced every 2 weeks but not sure on if thats the only time to add nutrient.

brand new homemade single dwc bucket system with airpump/airstoners,medium is perlite.Used a 2 1/2 inch seedling from soil,washed roots and put in dwc.been running for 3 days with a very small amount of thrive garden fert as i have no funds atm for hydro nutes. I have been reading that garden fert is no good. I have some concentrated worm wee here and just wondering if it would be wise to empty the res now and use the worm wee untill i can order some nutes from ebay.The worm wee does excellent for soil and hoping will do the same for dwc. If i can use this how much should i put in the res?Im thinking mabee a teaspoon.The dwc is only a 3 litre black tub that had protie…

im setting up a small hydro system for 1 or 2 plants i reckon maximum there is about 50cm of height for the plant, so wat is the minimum size of the water container? is two liters enough?

Been a few crew asking about Glandore Hydro Shop,so i thought i would let you know what kind a service I got from them,Well it go's like this, I rang them on 9/2/2011,time 10.30am,I spoke to {Joe}an orderd my new Quantum Digital Ballast,I spoke to one of the other guys from there as well a few days befor odering my Ballast an he new what he was talking about a no bullish guy that filled me in on every thing from A to Z,if you would like to know some thing they are the guys to talk to,Any way my new Ballast arrived today on the 11/2/2011, :thumbsup:Very nice Ballast indeed,The price of freight was included in the price of the ballast=$350.00 all up, cant ask for any more …

Howdy all Just have a query regarding air pumps for dwc method. What is the best L/ph pump size for a 25L bucket? I was looking at buying one off ebay. I only want one bucket going, but would like to be able to expand to two later on. Is a two outlet pump enough to drive 2 10cm airstones in two buckets? Or aim I better off buyng individual single outlet pumps for each? also what are the best airstones to use? I know sweet fuck all about them to be honest. Any tips on pumps and airstones would be greatly appreciated Cheers SB

Hello there, if one was to have a indoor hydro system , for instance in a metal cabinet then in ones closet just as an example, with two florescent lights and four LED light systems, plus pump, air pump, on an safety cutout power board , running of another power board and two timers, how safe is this ? I would be paranoid about leaving such a system running while at work. Is there things you can do to fail safe you system ? has anyone had any fires break out etc, also do you have to have you lights in sync with your time zone or can you have lights on of a night and off during day ? . Probably silly questions to you guys but I am new and thought you dudes might be able…

hey guys whats up hope everyone is having a good smoke... this is problly a stupid question but i was just wondering how do u go about flushing a dwc setup? do u have a bucket with ph adjusted water and pull your plants up in the netted pot and dunk the roots in the bucket to was the nute build up off of them or do u not need to flush in a dwc setup...just a bit curiouse about it .. peace out
