Hello all I thought I would share this recipe with you ENJOY!!!!! AFGHAN SPECIAL WARNING: EVAPORATING ALCOHOL IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE DO NOT BE STUPID!! INGREDIENTS: Left over dry leaf buds stems etc POWDERED Dried Papaver Somniforum (poppies) POWDERED Isopropyl Alcohol 99% enough to cover over all the powders plus a bit extra METHOD: Warm your alcohol in a big glass jar via double boiling (only warm it! do not let it boil) add the powdered poppies and shake it for 1 minute allow to cool to room temp then add your powdered leaf buds stems etc shake again for 1 minute. First attempt at BHO & Budder. It was all easy, $8 at Tradelink for 25mm tube threaded at both ends with caps, $4.50 at Big W for a 4pack of butane. Drill a few holes, get a dish, coffee filter paper and good to go. Got a bit contaminated with green bits, but all good. Now just have to work out what to do with it.

Does anyone know of a non polar solvent that's suitable for extractions which can easierly be purchased in Australia? Hexane seems to be the best solvent to use, but as far as I can tell you can't get it over the counter in Australia. What I'm basically looking for is an extraction method that's worth the effort! The alcohol extraction produces a good yield and can produce a smokable product from even fan leaves, but the greenish-black tar your left with tastes like shit and is uncomfortably similar to smoking dreggs. Hey all just a small batch of oil I made and now have whiped up a bit and its slowly setting harder and has turned creamy in colour you do this by heating slightly and whiping with a bent paper clip until you stop seeing small bubble comming out of it and then leave to cool and will hopefully go cloudier n a bit harder and hopefully easier to handle .... keep in mind if you whip it too much and becomes dry and flakey then you might have killed some of its potency and flavour so be careful Cone

I have decided it might be a good time to try a batch of cannabutter, if it works out I might have to look into giving up smoking the herb for a somewhat healthier method of ingestion. Most cannabutter recipes I've found call for the use of cheesecloth to strain the butter; which I am happy to obtain; but was wondering, it looks pretty much like cotton bandage material. Is it similar enough to use?

ok unfortunatley my time has run out and i need to get rid of my semi-grown plants, im going away on holidays and they cant stay in the yard, and hoped they would be ready by now but they are only 'just' showing signs of flowering - no buds, but little tiny pistol looking thing and getting very green at the top and smelling lovely. they have been growning outdoors for about 3-4 months now.
