Hi Guys, Took some photos while I was making my latest batch of oil so thought I would show you my method, I am no expert or guru at this and continually learning so don't attack me over something I do wrong. Next run I will probably do a vacume purge so will update this then First off butane is flammable and you are dealing with releasing a lot of this in gas form which can ignite if your a bell end, so don't do this is if your not capable of doing this without blowing yourself up.. Ok Ok I have dug up an old thread, but being new I spend more time reading what has been posted rather than posting myself, and as per my main hobby and recreational passion of being a moonshiner I think this falls under the hobbies topic (move it please to the correct place if I am wrong). but from this FAQ link, I question if this method is valid or not: absinth tincture In my opinion just macerating cannabis in alcohol of any strength will not activate its alkaloids (THC primarily). As I was under the impression that THC was in theory heat activated. Hence why we light it in our preferred smoking method, or when cooking we do just that, we cook it (add heat to it).…

Just about to do a bho run but don't have enough to fill the chamber. Does it matter if the chamber isn't full. Also how fine is the material that people are blasting. The material i'm using is some Deadhead Og & some Kosher kush, should be interesting. Also is everone using a coffee grinder to prepare their material

Okay mates, i thought id share this quick and easy canna oil recipe, i use coconut oil cause it has an extremely high saturated fat content which despite most people think is extremely healthy. oh coconut oil the more saturated fat in the oil medium the stronger your cannabis oil is gonna turn out so coconut oil and lard are the best options cause they have very very high saturated fat content, then butter its what most people use, and then the dreaded vegetable oil (extremely bad for making a potent edible, they work but using coconut oil or lard will increase the potency massively and even butter will make it better) so most people think coconut oil wont taste nice bu…

I was wondering if anybody is freezing there trim or buds before they use it for extraction. Also I read something about putting your cans of butane in the fridge or freezer before you use it. Anybody doing any of this or are these procedures a waist of time. Also what other things are people doing to prep their BHO run?

I got myself a nice 40g glass extractor & it had a couple of these 50 micron steel mesh screens with it. My question is do they work better than using coffee filters which I used previously. Anyone been using one than changed to the other. Any advice would be great.

Was just perusing extraction methods, when I linked on to the Mr Nice seeds and research forum, and came across a Co2 extraction method. It's a fairly detailed process, using laboratory equipment, but I'm sure stoner inginuity will find a way, as I am already thinking of ways in my head, but it appears fairly simple when put in layman's terms, which is what I'm about to attempt. First step, decarboxilation. Mull up your weed and heat in an oven at around 130° c for an hour or so, to convert THC into THCV. Second step, extraction. I've just started making Bho & was wondering how much butane do you use to get the job done. I have one of those 'Honey Bee Extractors ' the one that is for an oz I've also just bought a glass on glass 40 gram unit, waiting for delivery.

Hello viewers. I am making myslef some BHO out of 1.5oz of bud. That's right Bud. No leaf or tips. Manicured, dried and then cured for 6 weeks. It will be mulled up in my grinder and processed into Oil through the BHO THC Extraction Method. BHO is a decent method of THC Extraction and I like using the oil for cooking and smoking. I will be keeping all of the oil from this run to myslef .

I was going to try and do a tute but being a stoner well i never got around to it I did get some pics, will post them for all to have a look. 15grams of pop corn buds and sugar leaf. 80% bud, 20% leaf. This is Lush from last run. Extraction Tube Filled ready to go. Butane of course Dish with silicone mat to catch all the butane. I extract strait on to the silicone mat. Two can of butane put through extraction tube. Oil starting to come tougher as the butane evaporates sitting in hot water bath. What is left once all the butane is gone. Before vac purge. After the vac purge. 4 times bigger than went in after pulling the butane out of the oil. …

I decided I'd better have a bit more practice at making BHO, and what better product to start with than some nice Haze/Skunk #1 buds Buds were roughly chopped and then dried at 50-60 degrees in an oven to remove as much moisture as possible. They were then firmly packed into a glass extractor and a single coffee filter was cable tied over the end. Two cans of Ventii butane were sprayed through the extractor and the oil/butane was collected in a pot of water. The oil/butane was collected onto a silmat and purged a number of times in a vacuum chamber at -29inHg. At this stage it will be purged one or two more times. Naycha
