Hi all, I was reading up on BHO earlier, but I came to the conclusion that the easy methods use plastic as a container (toxic), and the harder ones use metal, however, this requires purchasing metal and cutting and drilling etc. Neither of these methods appeal to me so I went on a search and found this No special tools are required no making or drilling, except for bending a coathanger and all stuff needed can be sourced from your local supermarket: Original Post If you want to take it one step cleaner still then: I will definately be trying this method once harvest comes

gday ozstoners, long time reader first time poster.... i recently started my first grow (my plants arent strain specific but i would say mainly sativa by the look of the leave structure and are about 12' high - will try to post fotos soon) and its now harvest time .. and was thinking about a hash oil exctraction -with left overs, not buds- without butane (dont like it as much) and started looking through my cupboard and found several litres of methylated spirits (96% ethanol, 4% methanol)... do you guys think it would work? if so better or worse then isopropyl alcohol/ethanol ?? could some body post about the timings of soaking material in liquid? ive read many things fr…

My first concern would be my solvent, I would let a small amount evaporate by it's self and see if it leaves any residue behind. Next I would check the MERCK index on THC, chlorophyll, glucose and any other chemicals that might be in your stuff to extract and see their solubilities. I think ether would be the best but I wouldn't trust starting fluid as a source.

Okay this might not be the best way to make oil but it definatly works.. What You Need: Plastic bottle (600ml) chux wipe knitting needle(or anything to make a hole) collection dish trim butane okay so you have all your stuff now to make it you need to get your knitting needle or whatever and put a hole in the bottom of the plastic bottle just big enough so that you can fit the nozzle of the butane in snugly. With the bottle cap get a nail or anything and punch sum holes in it as many as possible. now that is all done get your trim, put it in the bottle and do up the lid. get a chux wipe and put it on the mouthpiece of the bottle and screw the cap on. get a teatowel or…

This is just a tip....l have always used an old lighter thats got the ability to be re-filled .l then break the lighter or just unscrew the valve that is used to refill with butane and put that little valve into the top of your tube that is going to be used for exstaction. At the other end l use a piece of coffee filter cut in a circle and lay it in the cap that fits on the opposite end to the valvecap.On the filter end cap l drill about 6-8 3mm holes which allow the butane/leaves-tips etc to filter through the paper and into the cup below. Hey whats up everyone Im new to making honey oil and i have a few questions. i am going to use an eighth of schwag for the fisrt run, just to give it a whirl, from there i can decide if i want to make more. Seems like the butane method is the best...anyone here think the acetone or iso methods are better? Also, i am using an eighth of schwag, how much oil should i expect to get, and how long does the oil last? (as compared to bowls) Thanks allot!

I'm quite new to this whole Honey Oil idea, only done it twice so far. I use a 1.25L coke bottle (fucken sweet for pressure) with a hole in the lid (keep the blue seal thingy in there -just hole that baby too)... MAKE SURE INSIDE OF BOTTLE IS COMPLETELY DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stuff as much weed as u like in the bottle - of course dried and chopped b4 hand, then put the lid on TIGHTLY! Proceed to fill the bottle with butane thru the hole in the lid. Now don't be shy here, the bottle will get REAL fucken tight with pressure, but it wont explode. okies well one of my local dealers came round thismorning when i was still in bed trashed off my nut trying to sell me capsules of hash oil....at first i said no as i wanted sleep but then a few hours later he came back and i asked to have another look and ended up getting it on credit (love being able to get on with no funds :smoke ) so anyways this pill looked all black and from previous experiences with hash oil its always been like a goldern honey kinda colour, none the less i wanted to get totalled so i cut the tip off 1 end of the pill and started to squeeze.... ended up looking like the ink out of a pen and smelling almost exactly like kahluah didnt seem…

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I am using the honey bee extractor 28g of leaf shake and 1 can of 160 ml butane. I want to do as much honey as i can tonight but i lack the neccessary amount of dishes to use to extract my fine oil into. My wife is going to rip my head off if I even think about it. Would it be advisable to use the same container over and over without removing the previous batch of oil. What i mean is to expell one can of butane, empty my junk from my honey bee and load up more shake and immediately expell another can of butane ontop of my first batch and then repeat this over and over. Hi everyone. I am new to this board and fairly new to the honey extraction. I'm not from down under but i am a good ole Canadian. I use the butane method and have found pretty good results so far. I have heard not to grind the leaves/bus to a powder as it releases more chlorophyl and therefore changes colour and taste. Has anyone heard of this or any advice. Also when I spend all of the butane into my pipe should i hold the pipe over my bowl for 5 more minutes and let it drip? I have been taking out the butane as it is finished and putting down the pipe.
