I have some PC case fans that I'd like to use for a cabinet grow. With some as intake and outake. Obviously I don't want to have them running off batteries that I'll have to replace all the time. Alternative is to use an old PC power supply and short the pins on the motherboard connector to turn the PSU on. The ideal way would be to have them running from the mains somehow that's safe and secure. Any ideas? Last reply by The Stoned Jester, Last reply by The Stoned Jester,

Hey Peeps, I'm contemplating introducing co2 in to my GR and before i fork out $$$ i decided to have a look around this fantastic site for more info. Unfortunately navigating this site is not my forte` especially since recent changes - my searches tend to result in 100's of unrelated posts so i'm hoping you guys/gals can help. Does anyone know if theres a 'pinned'/tutorial on co2 enrichment and if so can you point me toward it? Also, anybody that has experience with c02 enrichment and has any handy tips would be greatly appreciated. I know the theory i.e. required concentraion of co2 [ppm], balancing exhaust with co2 and rough costs involved but i'd really like … Last reply by John Citizen,

I decided the scrog wasn't recieving enough light, but there wasn't room to hang another reflector. The solution was to cut most of one half of one reflector off and to join it to the other reflector. This will allow me to hang two bulbs above the scrog without needing the space for two reflectors. Due to the lamp holders being slightly different one globe hangs a little lower than the other, but that shouldn't be much of a worry. I can't wait to double the wattage in there, and when it's time for lights on I will hang the new double reflector and show you all how it looks. Naycha Last reply by Ozzy420, Last reply by Ozzy420,

Yo guys. I've been trawling round here, reading up and studying what I'll need to know to embark on my endeavor. If anyone has any advice or can see something I haven't covered please let me know. So anyway here is the plan as it stands. I haven't started purchasing things yet, but that will be very soon, hence this thread haha. So i'm gonna kick it off in my wardrobe, which is about 5'9" tall, about 80cm wide and around 45cm deep. The room gets solid airflow from a large window, and I don't expect to need much more than a standard fan for summer. I don't intend on more than one plant to start too btw. As such I doubt scent will be a predominant issue. As far as … Last reply by jimbojones5678, Last reply by jimbojones5678,

Hi all, I just bought a new Lumlux 600watt digital ballast from ebay and they said it would run any HPS I wished to put in it, I put a 600w Phillips HPS in that I had and it started up then turned off within a minute. I waited for about 5 mins but nothing else happened so I put the old ballast back in and the lamp works fine. Has anybody got any info on what lamp I am supposed to run etc. any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Last reply by AvaDGardner,

From what I've seen, its about $30 for a 48w CFL from bunnings and $8 for the 24w. On eBay, theres the 130w grow CFLs kits for ~$70. Where do you guys get your CFL's? Cheers, Nax Last reply by The Hash Nibbler, Last reply by The Hash Nibbler,

Hey guys I have just setup a new grow cab & have some THC Bomb and Durban Poison crankin under 600w HPS in coco/perlite. Now I started these from seed and they are about 4 weeks old and vegeing their heads off so the time is fast approaching to clone them first for sex then propagation. Now I come to my dilema: I realise that I am going to need a vege/clone room as my seedling box just aint big enough (it only a white styrofoam fish box with a sylvania growlux fluro)now my main concerns are with the type of lighting to use as i dont want to use another HID due to the heat/cost of running (the love-&-kisses is shitty bout the cost of the big one as is ) Now I know … Last reply by The Hash Nibbler, Last reply by The Hash Nibbler,

hey all i came accross a home made co2 system in grasshopper72 current diary (check it out) thought i may as well take some pics while i was building one for myself This is just so if you want Co2 and haven't got a lot of cash, it will cost you like under $5 to have Co2 circulating around your buds while you flower. It is not intended for large areas, It just won't cut it unless you had HEAPS of them This system gives a boost of co2 while flowering and is not metered or measured or intended to even compare with a pro CO2 set -up. ...all of the info and technique was supplyed by mr hopper himself ..cheers gh72 right need # 3 ltr milk bottle # 700-750 grams raw sugar # p… Last reply by Samurai, Last reply by Samurai,

I have just put my babies in there new home and have the temp just right (26c under the lights) I have an air con (portable) running during the day and also have a fan in and out for airflow. Do I need to put in a fan to move the air around despite the fact that I do not have any hot spots in the room (air con works a charm)? I have been told by some that a padistal fan is needed to strengthen the plants with a gentle breeze, while others seem to talk about using the fan soley as a technique for moving hot air from under the lights. Any thoughts would be apreceated. Last reply by jimbojones5678, Last reply by jimbojones5678,

i am looking into a wardrobe/cabinet diy setup and in my research so far ive come across LED, but there isnt a lot of info other than its new and they may work. while on ebay i found a 225 led blue nd red system and cheap only 45 bucks with free delivery but there only 30.5x30.5 and thats small for my setup, i was thinking if these are a real product i would have 3 or 4 on top nd at least some on the walls because from the pictures it looks like the plants are not getting light over the tops and what i was also thinking i rotate the led on the walls to try to give an even grow. if these are not worth it, i would be fitting a 400 hps and try some computer fans but reckon t… Last reply by gman-tha-farmer,

Hey guys, I want to set up a small grow room in my cupboard (125cm H, 55cm W, 60cm D)for 2 - 4 plants. I want to spend the least amount of money possible (preferably under $150) so I was thinking of using CFL's and just having a small turny fan for ventilation with holes in the back of the cupboard. What's the go with using CFL's for a small number of plants in that kind of space? Cheers, Nax Last reply by Nax,
