Hi all, Just wondering what the best fan is for the above sized tent? I live in an apartment block and am after something as quiet as possible, but that will move enough air to grow healthy plants. I'll be running at least 2 600w HPS lights, possibly a third with 2/3 plants. I've searched but can't find anywhere that has information about room size, wattage and recommended fan size. Thanks

I'm currently in flower running a 400w hps and 400w mh in ablite reflectors side by side on 10 plants. I'm gowing frustrated with wiring and rearranging them daily to get the most light down to the lower branches and only really getting thick top growth. Im wondering if anyone has ideas on supplemental ighting or maybe even different methods of lighting? Like for instance if I was to put a 250w HID just off the floor directed upwards would this be effective or is it maybe a case of my reflective surfaces are not reflective enuf as its only reflecting from the white room walls. Or perhaps putting fluro growlights on the outside vertically as well? Any ideas or adv…

Gday all, first post here and just about to start growing. I have been reading and consuming a fair bit of information from various websites and forums however one thing i cant figure out is which soil to buy. Considering most of the other forums were based in other countries it was hard to find a soil they stocked in Australia which they recomended. Is there any Australian soil that is highly recomended or widely used by the majority of growers? Any advice would be greately apreciated as I am about to start growing in a number of days. Cheers

As mentioned in the building and construction thread, I'm in the process of setting up a grow in a wardrobe. Its the first time I've attempted to grow indoors and even though I've been reading shit here at ozstoners almost since the very beginning, practically I'm a total noob so I may need some help. The wardrobe is full height from floor to ceiling and full length of a bedroom wall. It will be split down the middle into too sections. So far one section is for all intensive purposes built, (Built meaning that secondary wall and door is inplace behind pre-existing wardrobe sliding door). We are going to be putting a potted plant in from outside ASAP as it will be flowered…

ok so all of my grows have been in a sealed room with a dehumidifier and AC , i am now setting up my first grow with a vent system, my setup is in a closet of my bedroom with 2x400w hps and 8 plants (hopefully 4 female). so as far as when lights are on i just keep the closet door wide open with a box fan blowing over the plants and lights to keep it cool. i keep my bedroom door or window cracked a all times so the humidity and air dont build up in the bedroom itself (8 plants transpire ALOT ) ok so now all is good, except i start budding soon, and i will be turning off lights and shutting the closet door for 12/12, so all i need is ventilation for the dark cyc…

Hey guys, I am hoping you can help me out. I need to start ventilating a room I have going, I never had to do any serious ventilation so this is new to me. I need a carbon filter and exhaust fan, probably intake to. I have a area the size of 5x5x8 feet, thats 200 cf. What I have figured is I need a fan 95 cfm for exhaust and a 2600 can filter. Where do I put the filter and blower? I Have a dual Hid light with an exhaut outlet (it came with a little fan inside-like a large computer fan). Where I used to live it worked fine (exepct the smell). So can I connect it to the light, Should I find a way to suck from 2 areas meaning the light and the room. OR will I suck enou…

Heya all, been a while Havnt had a grow on for ages, nearly outta my last grow stock - which was harvested i think aug 08. Like most of you i love to grow! Circumstances have changed and i've decided not to use my grow room for many reasons. One being i end up with tooo much weed! . Have been pondering for a while to go small - real small. so i can grow enuff fresh smoko for myself. My usage is upto 10 grms a fortnight so not tht much really. my grows normally hit 8 - 10 oz in my room. but as u all know weed loses its niceness after a while and it sucks smokin old weed! I'm looking at 250w sog. in the smallest cab possible. About size of a fridge or smaller ability t…

Having weighed the possible options for my growing space.... 1. Grow tent - Flimsy, cumbersome and not a permanent solution 2. Self-built grow box/cupboard - Too much like hard work 3. Attic - Already light-proof, clean, discreet and has power. I've decided to go with the later and make use of the large attic I have. When I say large I mean HUGE. It runs the entire length and width of the house (35m x 20m) and has convenient access via a single small doorway on the mezzanine level of the house. a third of the space has chipboard flooring and was originally designed for storage. I've already sat in the space during the middle of the day to see what if any light lea…

Decided i would make a topic on odour prevention where people can post their own observations on odour prevention. Pretty simple concept really, just fill out the following and post your results. I'm hoping this will help a lot of people when it comes to this sort of thing as there isn't much discussion on it at the moment with set questions like this. If you have bought multiple BRAND: MODEL: INEFFECTIVE AFTER: STILL EFFECTIVE AFTER: PURCHASE PRICE: YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE PRODUCT: YOUR RECOMMENDATION: So i will get the ball rolling with my observations BRAND: Odor-Sok MODEL: Series 1 INEFFECTIVE AFTER: 10 weeks STILL EFFECTIVE AFTER: N/A PURCHASE PRICE: $105 YOUR …
