im a newbie here planning to start my first grow with a old fridge i have and not too sure what lighting i should get . i have a couple different seeds lowryder 2 thai haze . i have seen this lighting system on ebay and not sure if it will work . help will be appreciated ECO LED Growing Light $100 Power Output: 15W Power Voltage 80-265 V Mercury Free Bulbs

ok my used cabinet just arrived today. a few scratches but other than that its all good. i fixed my duel 250watt frame to the top and then stopped to ponder how im going to cool down this little space. anyone with any ideas please feel free to throw them in. i have no idea what type of fan im going to have to purchase. just point me in the right direction. i want something that can bolt onto the side something small. if it dosnt attach a carbon filter its alright, i can do home mods. Here is what it looks like with my current fan and filter. as u can see its just over sized ! I have no intentions of using these in this grow.

Hi guys I am currently doing a grow in coco in a 1m x 1.5m x 2m tent and I have been having trouble with odour and excess humidity ( this stuff stinks!!!) i have a 6 inch inline fan with a odor sock which is connected to 1m of insulated ducting which exits through a window. I have been running the fan for 15m on and 15 off however it doesnt seem to be making a huge diffrence of sucking a lot of air. I was told that the fan needs to be closer to the window, in other words less ducting between the fan and the window, I was told that the correct length of ducting to a fans exit hole is 1.5 x the size of the fan, so a 6 inch fan should have 9 inches of ducting to its …

Hi guys, Im new to all of this, but this what my setup is going to look like: 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m Grow tent Flood and Drain system 400w HPS light kit 120mm Sunon intake fan Only thing now is the exhaust fan....im thinking of getting a 100mm centrifugal fan with a carbon filter. Is the cent. fan to small for the grow tent especially with a carbon filter? Any help or recommendations is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is anyone familiar with the multiple lamp fluro fittings available? See the image of a 4lamp one if i can get it happening... this is just a 4 lamp model but i recently saw a 8lamp model on ebay for 300 USD that looked real flash (and fucking pricey). Anyway I saw a vid on marijuanaTV of a grow room 'bout 2m by 3m where they used 2 of the 8lamp fittings and looked to have real good growth with no stretching (as fluros normally do)and nice and lush, so I was curious if anyone here has used em or uses em? their pretty expensive and seem hard to find in Aust but as Im always looking for something that will get down the sides for supplemental lighting and they put out f…

I bought a new "ready to grow " ballast from sun systems on ebay for 120 including shipping(1000w hps).It didnt come with a wiring diagram so i called sun system and the tech guy sat on the phone and talked me through the wiring which took literally less the ten minutes.it fired right up.he also told me how to make a switchable ballast which is also very easy.$120 and all you need is a housing!!DO IT!!! fOR THE RECORD HE SAID 1000W SWITCHABLE BALLAST NO PROBLEM,STAY AWAY FROM 400W SWITCHABLE(DIFFERENT VOLTAGE OR SOMETHING,A LITTLE TECHNACALE)

hey guys just wanna double check, my digi ballast won't run both types of lights so i've got an MH retro.. and now need a ballast for it. obviously i would need to get a standard hps ballast right? here's a link from aussieponics ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/400-HPS-HYDROPONICS...%3A1%7C294%3A50 i can't run a retro from an MH ballast can i? otherwise i get the HPS ballast. just want to clarify before i order it. cheers

Trying to source a lamp for my ozone generator and just got put on the spot when he asked me what I used it for. What can you say? One of the small ones that have the internal airpump are easy - you can say a miriad of things, but a large 700mm unit with the fan on the end that uses a lamp - what can you say? its got me stuffed!

Im trying to find someone who sells them..Mogul base socket for a HID bulb. I just want the socket base nothn else ,everywhere i go people tryn to sell em with all the other crap attacthed. I was hoping to get some opinions on whether my setup is gonna work. I got a 600W Lumatek in a 1m x 1m x 1.8m tent with a 150mm centrifugal fan. 1 plant in a 300mm pot with some premium potting mix My concern is that a few people have told me that im running too many watts for the space that i have. There is no light burn or heat stress so far (plant is 30cm tall). My Q is should i try to get a bigger tent or will it be fine if i keep temps under control? What do people think about using a HPS for a few weeks of vegging? What have people noticed is the difference between veggin with an HPS as opposed to a MH? And/or lastly, Am i better off getting a Conversion bulb for my HPS set up, or just stickin with the HPS? Thanks a lot in advance. - yota

hey fellas, hooked up the MH retro tonight, got a 400W digi ballast all grow lush, the retro just flickers each second tho doesn't ever get there.. you just hear it and see the gas flick blue then nothing, blue flicker, nothing.. the hps worked fine first go but on second go again the retro did the same thing. i've contacted the company.. but retros are supposed to fit hps ballasts right? cheers guys..

Hi all , I'm new to this site. I have an enquiy and hope i can gather suitable info. I've been looking into setting up a LED lighting system for sveral reasons e.g: save on power bill, no cooling or ballasts required , long bulb life. my question is which i can't find anywhere is: 1) i want to use tri spectrum (Red,Orange,Blue) and would like to get information on (a)what ratio is recommended. (b)what nm is suitable for each colour. If anyone has better lighting ideas drop a line, any info can be helpful. Thanks Stones

High all?, I'm looking at setting up a grow in a 1.4 x 1.4 x 2.0m Mylar grow tent. Planning on using 8 auto pot's under 2 x 400W HPS in cool tubes and not sure on the best way to set up ventilation. I've been very bored today and drawn a couple of angled pics of what I was planning to do. Any input would be greatly appreciated, eg. should I vent cool tubes open ended from in the tent, or from the out side?, and should the carbon filter be vented out of the tent or is it fine to run with no ducting?, is there anything else I've forgotten etc. Thanks again, moKing! 001.bmp 002.bmp
