Hello troops, in setting up a couple of wardrobes and I was thinking that a set of louvres would be the best option since I wanted a passive intake. My problem is that I'm not particularly sure where sells a good range at a reasonable price. Any ideas? If anyone has got them at the moment, where did you get yours from and would you buy them again if you had the choice? Appreciate any feedback. Farmermatt

Ive got a 130w CFL in my wardrobe for vegging, I was just wondering how big I can get my seedlings under there before chicking them in my tent for flowering? And also how far away should they be from the light? I have them as close as possible, all a few centimetres away. Thanks.

Hi guys, I have a problem that I’m hoping someone can help suggest a solutiont to. I have a cabinet grow in which I am running a 400 watt Son T Agro lamp on a 400w Lumatek Digital ballast. My problem is with timers. I started out using a digital timer that I bought online that is supposed to be heavy duty (a JBL 10amp/2400w digital timer with a 30amp relay built in to handle large bursts of power at startups). I’m currently on the 12/12 light cycle and was using this timer to turn the light off and on etc. Problem is that first day it turned the light on ok but the next day I came out and found it had not turned the light on (even though the display on the timer indi…

Last Friday I bought a ten pack of mix seeds off a seed bank. The pack has 2 seeds of each colour; • Great White Shark • Lemon Skunk • White Rhino • Train Wreck • Cheese I have no clue really on how to grow this kind of plant and I don’t want to just throw them in the ground as Melbourne whether is really dodgy half the time. Could someone please give me a hand? How do I grow them indoors? Do I need a heat lamp or how does all that work? What kind of potting mix? ECT... What do I need to get before my seeds arrive? Thank you! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Was just wondering where people had the filters placed either on the inlet side or exhausting side of their exhaust fans, currently have mine on the exhaust and was wondering if it could possibly be hampering the amount of air being vented from the room. Anyone happened to have tried it bothways?

Hi, I was hoping someone may have some knowledge of these 130w cf lamps, and if one is better than the other I was thinking of using one for seedlings and clones They both come in 2700k 6400k & 14000k (marine) The Growbrite at $79-$85 , and the Spectrum $65 I am pressuming for clones and seedling the best one would be 6400k..feel free to correct me Any thoughts on other brands appreciated too Cheers Cunningstunt

I grabbed a reflector today from a hydro store but I can't plug it in because it needs an adapter (the plug has your usual 2 angled teeth and then it has a round one on the bottom). I tried looking for an adapter at DSE and Bunnings, no luck. The Hyrdo dude has none left and he went on about how he hates CFL so he won't probably ever get any in. It would be a big help if I knew what the name of the adapter I need is... anyone?

Can't find these at Bunnings, DSE, JayCar, or Ebay. Best I have found is this adapter http://cgi.ebay.com.au/E27-edison-screw-ba...U_Lighting_Fans But I'd rather not have to wait for it to come from China. I have a 130W CFL which needs the screw type connector. I should have got one with the normal plug type

I am slowly putting together my grow cab(you can find it in the construction section) , but have a issue with lighting. My cab dimensions are 140cms tall x 40cms deep x 60cms wide. I was planning on running 400watt hps/mh conv with a 125mm cool tube with a 125mm inline fan keeping it cool.(plus a centrifugul fan for the carbon filter) But this may give me temp issues with such a small space and may have to drop it down to a 250 watt, obviously impacting yield!!! Is there anybody running a 400 watt in similar dimensions out there?? or am i asking for trouble if i put a 400watter in there???? Any help would be appreciated wiet

I started off with just one 125mm computer fan for the exhaust. Running a 250 Watt 6500K Fluro It wasn't long b4 I needed another fan of the same sort. Now my Girls n Boys are starting to stink things up. So then I bought an Axial 125mm fan and Charcoal Filter. I left the computer fan in place and tapped up the duct. So I have the Computer fan on top of the fridge assisting the Axial fan in pushing the air through the filter. So I now have a 250 Watt HPS and another 100 watts of Fluro's in my fridge. Yep you guessed it I needed more Airflow. So Now I have 2 computer fans pushing in 2 separate 125 mm ducts and two 125mm Axial fans inline with two Charcoal Filters....oh …

as per title, was wondering what type of fan/carbon filter you would recommend for low noise levels, i don't mind wrapping things up but I realy don't want too much noise. the wardrobe im using is around 6.5" tall with a 1.5" shelf in the top (figured I can keep my hydro related stuff and the carbon filter exhausting to the top shelf and cut the rear wall of the top shelf out. will I need a centrifical fan to minimise noise? im on a limited budget and im not keen on dealing with aussieponics again, anyone have recommendations?
