Hey, this is probably a stupid question but I have to ask... this reflector I just bought has come with a thin blue plastic lining the underside of the reflector, I'm supposed to take that off right? I'm guessing it is just there to protect the shine until you get it home? But I will wait to see what everyone says, I'm new to indoor stuff. Thanks

I have atatched a diagram of my room, I am not sure what size intake and exhaust fans to get. will the cheapo cpu fans get enough airflow through? the intake fan really needs to be in the spot where I have inidcated for stealth reasons, ( I would like to put the exhaust there too if possible, but obviously high on the wall).. Thanks Puka

Ladies & Gents, Our "prayers" have been answered. Ever wanted to move a bucket load of air but don't want the associated noise or the need for silencers, S&P have come to the party with their new TD Silent Fans. Links Below are to their specs and video. Specs I have an S&P TD800/200 which pushes a massive amount of air, 1100m3/hr @ 40db. The silent variety pushes 800m3/hr @ 20 decibels; to maintain the same flow I'd just need to step up to the TD1000/200 Silent. The best part is the price, from 78 Pounds these are awesome value.

Hi guys I'm new here, I hope I am posting this in the right place. If not, I apologise. My partner and I are looking to get a 600 watt HPS setup. Just the bulb, ballast and shade. Have an old wardrobe we plan to convert to a grow closet. We had a 400 watt HPS a few years back and that did a good job, but would like to try 600 this time. We live in a small rural town with no shops that sell this kind of stuff so buying online looks to be the only way to go atm. I've read good things about these "digital" ballasts, have had a look around the net and come across the "Cool shade Digi 600watt kit" from http://glandorehydro.com/COOL-SHADE-DIGI-600W-KIT.html. I see…

Hey guys i have been doing a bit of research on filters, fans etc and i just have a few questions if someone could help me out? Is it correct to have a smaller cfm carbon filter then fan for neg pressure in the tent? What brands are recommended for stealth or is it hit and miss? Do silencers really work? I have read a few solutions about it and some people say yay some people say nay and some people wrap there cuting up with a blanket and gaffer tape? Whats the dealio? Cheers

Hello my fellow Cannabinites, Scored a few 400W MH high bay lights the other day, which was pretty lucky condidering I was given some grow lights by a mate, but of the four setups, two just shorted out the house the moment i plugged them in, the third lasted 2 days before following suit, then the last one only lasted about 3 hours before packing it in. So anyways, did a bit of web surfing and found that the MH ballasts can be converted to HPS (now before everyone falls over there laptop to let me know exactly how bad it is to do, I am aware that it is not ideal, but fuck it, the lights cost me $19, so, if they cop a bit of a flogging this grow, fuck it, I will be better…

Hi all! Very excited i finally got the grow cellar goin but i've got a question?! The cellar is 2mx1mx 2m high. hidden under the carpet inside the house with a 5in outgoing air pipe with 5in fan and carbon filter venting through the inside of the wall and out through a stink pipe through the roof to the wide world. Stealthy with no problem there that i can see, however, i have a 6in air intake moulded into the floor hidden under a bed which in the even of a raid should not be found but just wondering is there any chance the smell will filter back through the intake? do i need a filter on the intake vent or will the exhaust suck hard enough to stop any smell going backward…

Hey guys, ive just built my first aeroponics set up, and its working so good so no worries on that. Ive tested it with a run on tomato's by just putting the set up outside, and no worries there. Now im going to grow inside, and i need to buy some light, and germ my seeds. I'm going to be growing from seed because i dont have any clones, so if someone could help me out with what lights would work best and cheapest it would be great. Im not a grower to sell, im simply growing for myself. so i dont want any of your fancy HPS stuff, keep it as cheap as possible please. Just two quick questions; 1 --- I just explained. 2 --- Could someone help me out …

I saw a post on Oz Stoners a little while ago that had two Cool Tubes connected with 2 x 90 degree Sheet Metal Duct to form a 180 bend. Anyone have a clue whose setup that might be?
