A LARGE cannabis crop has been found at Samsonvale in Brisbane's outer northwest.A Queensland Water worker stumbled upon more than 90 illegal cannabis plants growing in bushland off Gold Scrub Lane at 1pm yesterday,police said. A 69-year-old man has been charged with cultivating cannabis after a raid on a Sydney home. Police searched a house on Belmore Road, Riverwood, in Sydney's southwest, yesterday following an anonymous tip off. Officers seized 160 cannabis plants, with a street value of $320,000, from a home they say was modified to grow hydroponic cannabis. The man, facing charges of cultivating and possessing a prohibited plant, will appear in Sutherland Local Court today. $800,000 cannabis seized in search Friday Mar 17 07:23 AEDT Police have seized $800,000 worth of hydroponic cannabis during a search of a Sydney house. The police raid about midday on Thursday uncovered 254 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $800,000 in the house at Birrong, south west of Sydney. They also found other items for a hydroponics set-up. A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a prohibited plant. MARIJUANA plants with a potential street value of $1.463 million were seized by police during a four-day operation on the state's Mid North Coast last week. Officers spent four days removing plants as high as six metres growing on Crown and private land at Kendall, Comboyne, Lower creek, Bowraville, Missbotti, Taylors Arm and Newee Creek. Just a quick snippet of news that was in the Sunday paper. A guy on the outskirts of Townsville was caught with 70 plants ranging from 1m - 2m tall and were just started to bud (some had already started). Value is estimated at being over 1.3 million dollars. The police raided the property after a TIPOFF (FCK'ing DOGS) last week. was speaking with a friend that resides in qld,and he reckons he saw on the news that government trying to pass HYDROPONIC MJ GROWING the same as a class offence under the drugs misuse act australia wide..this is in the same category as producing amphetamines.. can this be true? has anyone else heard talk of this?? take care and peace out...
