A JUDGE said yesterday that a man caught on camera watering 354 cannabis plants at Lake Eppalock had to be more than a gardener. Massimo "Max" Paris, 36, pleaded guilty to cultivating a trafficable amount of cannabis and cultivating cannabis at his then home in Tullamarine. Defence lawyer David Brustman told Melbourne County Court that Paris was paid $2000 to tend to the crop at Patons Road, where he was captured on police surveillance between November 29, 2004, and January, last year, when he was arrested by Bendigo Crime Investigations Unit detectives. Judge Frank Dyett said Paris was unlikely to make a trip from Tullamarine in his Mercedes Benz and get into other…

Author: Steve Gee Date: 19 July 06 Source: The Hobart Mercury Copyright: © Davies Bros Not good, 20 years How could you be so silly as to run a 1000 plant setup and NOT use odour control though.. Is it too early in the morning for me, or did I know nothing about this 'tightening of legislation' in NSW?

A SYDNEY man has been charged over the largest seizure of cannabis in NSW, valued at more than $38 million. He is the 16th person arrested over the April 2004 seizure of 3.2 tonnes of cannabis in a raid on a Jacks Creek property, 17km from Narrabri, in the state's west. During the dawn raid, police allege they located drying cannabis in two sheds and suspended within a crop site. Police arrested 15 people at the time. The latest arrest, of a 39-year-old Brighton-le-Sands man, was made outside his southern Sydney home at 11am (AEST) yesterday. Some cannabis with your tea? von Jenny Wiggins Put that in your pipe and smoke it: A health beverage containing the plant is the latest in a string of new "functional drinks" to find a receptive market. Rituals associated with drinking tea are typically rituals of relaxation. In Britain, workers will take a break for a "mornin' cuppa". In India they will stop by the roadside to pick up a cup of chai. So when a group of entrepreneurs bought the rights to sell a drink made with tea and cannabis in the UK, it could have been the perfect opportunity for marketing a product guaranteed to make consumers zone out. Instead, C-Ice is concentrating on what it claims are its hea…

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority has fined and reprimanded two players for testing positive to cannabis during the last National Basketball League season. Melbourne Tigers forward Rashad Tucker and former Perth player David Bailey tested positive to the banned drug during in-competition testing, and were fined $5,000 each. Bailey is no longer registered in the NBL after being released from his contract with the Wildcats at the end of last season. Basketball Australia said it supported the action taken against both players. Phase one had plainclothes officers patrolling local streets within the command, focusing mainly on Lismore. The second phase saw uniformed officers manning roadblocks on main access roads into Nimbin. Department of…

Police to get password powers Where ????? Simon Hayes JUNE 06, 2006 Artical QUEENSLAND [bloodyQld'ers] Police are to be given power to force suspects to hand over passwords and encryption codes. Civil libertarians warn the laws could allow corrupt police to fake evidence, because they will have access to suspects' digital signatures. The legislation, to come into force in July, covers mobile phones, PCs, handhelds and other electronic devices. Non-compliance carries up to 12 months' jail. The amendments to the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act will make Queensland the only state with legislation preventing suspects from claiming the right to…
