December 16, 2003 AN Adelaide man called police when he found intruders breaking into his home to steal his cannabis crop, and ended up being charged himself, police said. Police called to a house at Torrensville shortly after midnight caught four men allegedly stealing cannabis that was being grown in two rooms. THIRTY-one people have been arrested and $3.5 million worth of property seized after cannabis suppliers were successfully targeted by a combined Queensland and NSW police operation. Queensland Police started Operation Bravo Chilly in June focused on the production and distribution of cannabis between north Queensland's Whitsunday area and northern NSW. A MAN and woman will face court after the discovery of more than $300,000 worth of cannabis at a house on the NSW central coast. Police said officers were following up inquiries at a home on the Pacific Highway, Gosford, after a 47-year-old man was involved in a minor collision yesterday. When they arrived at the property there was the strong smell of cannabis, a spokesman said.
