Hello together, Since the first of February this year, Belgium has updated their cannabis laws. They already did so in May 2003, yet because of severe shortcomings the court overruled those changes in October 2004. Therefore those laws were being revised and now accepted. Generally, it is to be pointed out that Belgians who are caught with less than 3g are allowed to keep their dope and do not have to fear a sue as the police is demanded to set different priorities. Same applies if you are caught with one plant. However this law does not apply for foreigners or minors, yet it is a sign that changes have to be done. Unfortunately this law originally aimed to decri…

Two and a half tonnes of cannabis has been sent to Federal Parliament in a bid to educate politicians about the difference between industrial hemp and marijuana. Philip Warner from Queensland's Ecofibre Industries Limited says too many politicians do not know that industrial hemp is useless as a drug. He says each politician has been sent a 15 kilogram bag of hemp mulch in an effort to change their thinking. "Every time we write to the Federal Government they keep throwing back in our face this thing about hemp being associated with marijuana," he said. "They are not at all assisting in being able to develop a new industry for global consumption. "Our concern i…

End of last year, the German Supreme Court overruled the government by saying that a 0 Tolerance policy with respect to cannabis does not conform to the constitution. Hence, finally, corrections are made to it. Basically the German Medical Association proposes a limit of 1,0 Nano gram THC per mililitre blood whereas it used to be 0,0. HOW this revision happened is quite funny. For an awful long time, it has been to calm with respect to this matter. No political discussions, and even institutions such as the Deutsche Hanf Verband (DHV, German Hemp Association) or the Verein fuer Drogenpolitik (VfD, Association for positive Drug Politics) were rather reluctant to touch…

4th February 2005 ABC Gold Coast Radio interviewed a lower level government minister who is demanding that NSW/Queensland marijuana laws be changed so that they are consistent and relevant to each other, because, as the law stands today, you can, in NSW have your one or two plants and not be too worried, whereas in Queensland they, in theory will lock you up and throw away the key for the smallest amount. He went on to say that " the average marijuana plant can be harvested 4 times a year, yielding approximately 2kg per harvest, which is 8kg a year, enough to bring serious consequences in Queensland, but not much of a problem in NSW". Is he serious? I would like one…

THOUSANDS of music lovers packed into Olympic Park in Sydney today, partying to their favourite bands at the Big Day Out festival. More than 55,000 revellers danced to bands including the Beastie Boys, The Chemical Brothers, The Streets, John Butler Trio, Grinspoon and Powderfinger. But police were not impressed with the number of people arrested for drugs offences. Sniffer dogs at the venue and on Sydney trains helped flush out more than 200 people allegedly carrying drugs such as cannabis, ecstasy, speed, cocaine and heroin. Of the 200-plus people, 21 were charged with supply, police said late tonight, revised down from their earlier figure of 35. One man was c…

Drug gangs hire 'crop sitters' By Kara Lawrence January 13, 2005 ORGANISED crime syndicates are opening franchises across suburban Sydney, renting out houses and installing "crop sitters" to tend to hydroponic cannabis plantations. Picture: Justin Lloyd The burgeoning industry, imported from Canada about three years ago, has seen an increase in sophistication and yield of the illegal crops. Boffins to build 'hemp houses' February 18, 2005 From: AAP RESEARCHERS on the NSW north coast are preparing to harvest 2.5 million cannabis plants to build what's believed to be Australia's first hemp homes. "We're certainly expecting them to be finished before the end of the year and we'll be commencing the building in the next couple of months," he said. The four year commercialisation research project involves the Southern Cross University, NSW University and Byron Shire Council. One house is t…

Anyone see the crap that they pulled in the USa, the "land of the free" () the other day? Full scale drug raids, with cops holding guns on school children, terrorising them, as they searched their bags and lockers. The kids fell to the ground, were made to lay with their hands out, as if they had commited a crime, and scared them shitless. How much dope did the cops find? None. The cops reckon they did nothing over the top. And the principle says he saw nothing wrong with what they did. It seems that the land of the free, the centre of western civilastion, the leader of the free world, and other self proclaimed bullshit names; finds no offence in menacing children…
