However I don't see how this prevents being arrested... Surely the owner of the machine is responsible for it's contents? Still, an interesting idea.

A major phase of the Netherlands' ban on tourists patronizing coffee shops goes into effect in the country's southern provinces on May 1. Shops in Amsterdam are scheduled stop selling marijuana to foreigners on January 1, 2013. But enacting this ban may be harder than finding a 22-year-old who hasn't seen EuroTrip: the benign, psychotropic plant that grows naturally in the ground makes the country a lot of money. According to the director of the Drugtext Foundation in the Netherlands, 50% of the country's tourists visit the coffee shops, and 10% of tourism is exclusively for marijuana. The Telegraph reports that the coffee shops generate around $2.5 billion annually, whic…

The leader of the Smer party, Robert Fico, on March 15, 2012, before his meeting with the Slovak president at the presidential palace in Bratislava Robert Fico, the incoming Slovak prime minister, may push for partial legalization of marijuana possession. “If smokers of marijuana, lovers of bongs [water pipes] or cakes with ingredients of this soft drug in Slovakia currently face very severe punishment, it is legitimate to raise the question of whether the threat of such punishment is effective, given the widespread use of marijuana,” Mr. Fico, a lawyer whose left-of-center Smer-Social Democracy party won March 12 general elections, wrote on his blog.
