At 2am Saturday, a 34-year-old woman was stopped by members of Orana Local Area Command while in her vehicle for her alleged manner of driving. After passing a roadside breath test, the woman allegedly refused to supply a urine sample to test for illicit drugs. She was later charged with driving under the influence (DUI), refusing to supply a urine sample and possession of a prohibited drug.

The decriminalization of small amounts of marijuana in Vermont takes effect on Monday. Those found in possession of less than one ounce will face a civil offense; similar to a traffic ticket.
