hello can I use an old (used) carbon filter to filter smoke,, to keep odours down? hooked up with an inline fan ect or other ideas/ better ways to reduce suspect odours from smoke cheers.

Hello i just want to know what will actually happen if seeds i order from overseas are found by customs, surely it cant just be a letter saying they have been detained as it is illegal. I am currently in the process of looking for a rental property, no way I can afford to buy at this stage in my life. Just waiting on finding out my work situation this year (So I know what price range I can afford, which I should know pretty soon) Considering that means no more disaproving oldies around I will be doing a grow. Hello, I have just started growing, and I was talking to a mate who has rigged his line because he is worried people will pick up the spike in his electicity. I want to get a 400w light, i know thats small but is that detectable by the same system?

Hey guys Just wanted to know if anyone has ever had any troubles, with the law, or any type of suspicious people from the power company(if at all that would happen) questioning them over their power bills?? A friend of mine is moving out, and he wants to get a grow operation started, hes not really paranoid about getting caught, more paranoid about whether cops or anyone actually look into electricity bills, and therefore might have reason to search the premises? Hi all Well I plan to grow in a spare room which has a sky light. Gonna vent the air from my grow box directly into the room. Plan to run a 400w HPS light for flower and a few compact fluro for vege. Will the skylight be a problem because I am venting into the room in terms of the glass getting hot and more detectable? Atm there are helicopters that pass my house 2-4 times a day/night and I am a bit concerned. cheers

Hey to all I have been reading threads for a couple of hours now and still don't have a friggin clue. Some posts date back to 2003 and say their ozone gen was useless with skunk, other posts from 2009 say they use the ozone gens with no problems. So it may be a case of big improvement in the designs..I dunno..so I am asking a fresh question. After having a break from growing the past couple years, i'd like to set up my 400w hps again. need to refill some jars... but I see that i've had the newer smart meter installed, and from what i've read they can identify the type of appliance running and update the usage in real time? My paranoia level is definitely higher than I am right now... so i'm kind of interested in what the deal is these days with growing and these meters. Just curious, are people still having successful grows with these installed? any problems?

OK so I have begun sourcing equipment to begin my first grow. The grow box is going to be ~350mm x ~600mm by ~1000mm high. with a grow room of about 6-700mm. As you can see from the sketchup images below, I'm going to put 6-7 cfl fixtures in there, unless they would get too hot being that close??. There would probably be about 25mm between the glass of the tubes.. they dont feel too hot having my hand that close.. I will be using a mix of 48 and 28watt globes from Bunnings, I know there are bigger out there, but the larger ones ive looked at online dont provide any more watts per dollar so ill stick with the 28/48ers, cannaversity says i would only need a maximum…

hey guys on a seed bank's site i came across a guide on indoor security whilst growing. One mention from this guide was So my question/s are the drug detection helicopters in melbourne [and australia] functioning in the same way as described above? My other query was in regards to this excerpt (last sentence of the above quote) "..and the lights are not touching the walls you are fine." Now what does this mean exactly? If the lights were touching the walls [and by what sense would the lights be 'touching'] would that somehow emit heat to the outside of the building and thus be detected by the IR helicopters? Hey everyone How are we?
