hi guys just had a ordeal after making a trip to the hydro store, once i returned with my new tent/few other things (nothing illegal) i got home and my friend parked his car behind my fence, we unloaded everything then about 15 minutes later after a quick chat he left. he said as he left my driveway there was a cop out front of my neighbors house sorta next to mine but he wasn't sure, he was under the impression they was walking towards my place and freaked out for me. but as i was closing the gate i did int notice anyone out front of my place or walking down my driveway, i have a walkway next to my house between me and my neighbor. should i be worried? do you guys thi…

Had a delivery this last week that had the hydro stores name on a 'receipt' on the box. I specifically asked for stealth/unmarked delivery so that nobody would know of contents. When I picked it up from the Post Office (carded) the individual took notice of the 'receipt' and even said "I'm not sure what that's on for". Apart from being FUCKING PISSED at the store, whats the chances of actually being investigated if the postal workers were to call the blu boys? Two postal workers work at this location and one saw it, so I am guessing the other saw it too. Is it safer to visit a store in person and pay cash, or have supplies delivered under my name and address using a credit card? If visiting a store, is it ok to park outside or should I lug my box of purchased supplies to my car parked several streets away? Or should I wait outside the store with the supplies for a taxi? Should I drive to a hydro store in a different Australian state from the one I live in? I'm a bit lost. Thanks in advance

Hey - has anyone used either the 6 or 8 inch versions of can's new fans? Im looking at the 8 inch model and would like to hear from anyone using it regarding its noise levels? It pulls a lot of air for its size, but going to the store and having a listen just isnt the same as when its taken home and boxed up quiet. Ta

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some reassuring advice after a close encounter with a helicopter yesterday. We live in rural northwest Vic on a large farming property. Neighbours in our area tend to be about 2 to 3 km apart and our property is over 10,000 acres. hello I've been a long time lurker here and have learnt a great deal of useful things, I have spent countless hours reading peoples grow journals and various other interesting threads. this is my first post so be gentle with me. so anyway I've had an idea to put my fans on a sensor so if anyone approach's my grow area the noise cuts out for a minute or two. I've searched to no avail in the forum......might be my searching skills aren't too good as I thought this would have come up previously. Can anyone suggest good brands or types of fans that are quiet? Similarly, any DIY or off the shelf silencers that work? Specifically I'm looking for a 150mm inline fan for my purposes, but hopefully this thread can become the definitive guide. All thoughts welcome.....

Hi guys, I am just about to harvest some outdoor plants and plan to dry them in a tent with a filter. I want to use this tent in the future for indoor grows eventually so I want a good quality tent. Can anybody recommend a good hydroponics site to buy one off or a suitable brand?....it will eventually house a 600w HPS . What about the security issues of buying off these sites or eBay? Hi everyone first time growing and first time posting. This will be my first grow and would like some help/ideas in which way to go with is I have put power to it I was planing on using the freezer section for cloning and growing out seeds what lights should I use in there? and what fans also need some sort of vent in there and carbon filter? for the main bottom section I was going to go a DWC I think I have that part down pat Ive done a heap of reading on it and watched a shit load of you tube video's. bat again what type of lighting should I use? and what fans should I use? Can anyone recommend a product that would cover the smell of weed? I will be using a carbon filter but on the off chance that the neighbours come around/inlaws or what ever is there anything that we could open up to give the house a nice smelling odour and completely cover any traces of weed/ smelly feet that may be flying about?

Hi all, I thought that I'd mention this in case it gives other people good ideas. I found an old Samsung Galaxy S (version 1) phone laying around the house and used it as a remote webcam in the grow room that can be used for security, time lapse photography, whatever. You can also access the pictures across the home network or even internet if you know how to configure your home router/modem too. The general idea will work with any modern smartphone really.
