Potheads are fooling police all over Oz with a new cannabis plant that looks like a carnation bush- but is so heavy-duty its nickname is skunkweed! It took Queensland police ages to work out why loads of long-haired types with bloodshot eyes were laying around clutching bouquets of the flower, normally popular only at weddings and with old ladies. "This plant is unlike any other seen in Queensland," said Det Sgt Dunn of Brisbane, one of the first cops to encounter it. "Its leaves are different and, to look at, it appears to be a small stocky shrub. But this plant is more stocky than the marijuana plant." What he's saying is that it's a hopped-up, sexually mutated…

Pub patrons are being taken from dance floors and bars onto the street to undergo police breathdhalyser tests. The tests are part of a police crackdown on licensed premises in Darwin which serve alcohol to intoxicated patrons. There is no blood alcohol limit in the Licensing Act which measures when a patron is too intoxicated to be served more alcohol. Acting Commander Greg Dowd said police could use the results of breathalyser tests in cases they bring against premises for breaching their licence under 124B of the Act. Cdr Dowd said police could not force a patron to take a breathalyser test. A bouncer at a Darwin pub raided by police this month said an eld…

Australian net censorship law is being discussed

It saddens me to know that marijuana is illegal. Anyway... Theres was a post on Slashdot today about talk of a new internet censorship law. I had a read of the story and most of it is boring although the last paragraph of the page I read may interfere with this site, visitors and/or its owner so it may be wise to keep an eye on it. I openly condone and participate in the use of marijuana for recreation and medication although I would hopefully not do it on the internet if this vague law [the last paragraph] was introduced. http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/08/...1261191860.html

By Nikki Voss and Nicole Cox August 10, 2003 AUSTRALIA'S leading relationship counselling body is urging lonely older single women to become lesbians. Mr Carney said the government-funded support group encouraged older women to explore lesbian relationships, which were seen as more nurturing and emotionally supportive. Older women were even pooling their resources to buy property and making pacts to form couples if they did not find a male …

It's a glass spring valley juice bottle with a ~30 cm piece of pvc pipe, with stem n cone attached, in it and more affectionately referred to as a springer. I've been whole heartedly devoted to mine for some time only to find out they're really quite bad for your health (or so the woman at off ya tree told me) I inquired to whether they had pvc pipe and she began a small lecture on how the smoke reacts with the plastic and goes toxic or something like that. This has got me worried and was wondering if anyone can confirm this or tell me if they've heard anything similar. note: i know hose stems, foil cones, and gatorade chambers are a recipe for death and they taste li…
