Need info on marijuana and effects on Severe Depression
Hi all my partner has severe and prolonged depression that is not being adequately controlled by conventional pharmaceutical medication. She has been hospitalised because of it for the last 2 months and next week they are beginning shock treatment (Electro-convulsive Therapy), this is kind of the last resort where medication has failed. I am wondering if anyone here has any information on using marijuana as a treatment for severe depression. I'd be particularly interested in links to reputable studies... if there are any, but if you have anecdotal evidence of it helping you or someone you know I'd also be interested in hearing about your experiences. I smoke it f…

Cannabis and Swine Flu
I developed the flu yesterday, and judging from the stiff neck, nausea and diarrhea im assuming it's the piggy kind. So far, a few bong hits a day have reduced the nausea, cleared the neck pain and reduced the coughing. If you're someone who mixes tobacco, however, don't do it while sick. I tried this morning and I nearly hacked and coughed myself to death. Thank you ganja, once more

Marijuana for Anxiety
G'day everyone, I've done a bit of searching around the internet and on these forums regarding marijuana use for anxiety.. I personally suffer from anxiety, (to the point that standing in line at a supermarket is very hard for me to do as I begin to panic etc) and find that depending on the amount I smoke it really helps me feel a lot calmer and not so worried about everything. Obviously one needs to take into consideration the strain etc.. From what I've read the Sativa's are better for anxiety rather than the Indica's since the Indica's are more of a body high. I've also read somewhere that Strawberry Cough is a good Sativa which is sometimes used medically for an…

CBD vs THC and sleep (not what you expect). Thanks To Professor Rafael Mechoulam for sending me some of these reports. I have the complete report on CBD as a waking agent if anyone is interested http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19045957 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17712817 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16844117 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16209908 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15118485 Or at least not what I expected considering older reports like: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/414288 It also makes me question what I thought was going on with my leaf butter compared to bud butter. (thanks to Pflover for this)

Plastic Surgery for Man Boobs On The Increase .. Cannabis Again
Plastic Surgery for Man Boobs On The Increase by Ali Hale 18 December 2008 http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2008/12/...he_increase.php Some drugs, such as cannabis and anabolic steroids can cause breast development, and if you use these and have gynaecomastia, it's definitely a good idea to stop. The BBC news has reported that breast reduction surgery is gaining popularity amongst men with gynaecomastia ("man boobs" or "moobs"). The condition is estimated to affect between a third and half of all men, especially teenagers and younger men. True gynaecomastia is linked to hormonal changes, certain medications and some diseases. This is where real breast tissue is pres…

They are struggling atm and have nowhere to stay because their landlord kicked them out for growing.
