The power of hydrogen peroxide The Amish started using hydrogen peroxide in agriculture. Amish people spray their string beans after they're done yielding, with a solution of hydrogen peroxide several times in the morning. Those beans re-bloom, and they get another 1-3 pickings. They spray it on their cabbage and on their cauliflower and potatoes, and the bugs leave. They spray their alfalfa with it and they find that they get 6 inches more growth, and the alfalfa aphids and weevils leave. An ounce of 3% H2O2 per quart of water used. Spray the solution on the leaves as well. Hydrogen peroxide treatment of seed Seeds germinate faster, with bigger sprouts when they are firs…

Hi all just a noob question, Im planning on using searles seed raising mix to begin my plants, and then will be transplanting them into holes with yearles premium potting mix and some perlite. I am planning on using a bit less than half of the original soil in the holes. The original soil really isn't that great, quite dry and sandy. My questions are: How long is the seed raising mixture suitable to grow the seedlings in until transplanting them to the holes? i was thinking 2 - 4 weeks? What's a good ratio to mix the perlite and soil? 1:4? Any suggestions for potting soil besides yearles premium potting mix..? personally i think this sounds good. Will this mix be sufficie…

howdy all, i was planning on growing some plants outside in pots using 100% Canna coco, but after checking things out ive decided its a bit out of my price range, however the local nurserie has bricks of coco peat for $1.70 each i dont know what brand it is because it has no label on it, is this stuff basically the same as canna coco? and would it be good to grow my plants in? if yes should i mix in some top soil or use 100% coco peat?

Hi , I have just planted 16 hydro seeds in a half top soil half compost mixture in 16 separate pots. Also I only have miracle grow as a fert at the moment and potash for bloom. So my question is can I use my friends hydro light to increase growth the rate in the early stages of the cycle? As in keep them out all day in the sun then put them under the light for a period of time at night. I do realize I assume I have the seasons all wrong as we are in winter at the moment and Iam trying to grow ...... I am also buying a PH kit tomorrow and would like your opinions on the right levels. PS I am in North Queensland Reguards hoop .
