First post whilst potting my roma tomato clones, using dutch-glory premium cocopeat. I stumbled upon something extraordinary! In this new bag of coir i had purchased was a cigarette butt.upon examining the bag i noticed a certification stamp from the rhp and wondered if tobacco was part of this certification.i immediately emailed the manufacturer and received a reply in quick time, the contents of which is as follows. That dirty Butt will have no effect on your seedlings . I have discussed this matter with our packaging company , and they are investigating . Cheers Pat Director. i have not had a reply back from the rhp foundation in 5 days as to whether or not t…

About 4 months ago I posted here asking if anyone knew the dilution rate to Canna Bio nutes. Luke SW put up a post with no idea (thanks for at least the post Luke) At about the same time I hit Canna Australia with the same question. Today - months on - I received this .... (meantime I had got the dilution rates from an English hydro store which is owned by a friend) YOU HAVE PROVIDED US WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING COMMENTS, QUESTIONS OR THE REQUEST FOR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. I have been trying to research just how much Carbon Dioxide i need to administer to a grow closet. I currently use a Soda Stream C02 system that i hook up to a plastic tub to euthanise all the snakefood quickly & humanely. As i can buy all the gas cartridges from Wooolies & they work out very cheap, I was thinking of using this same setup to enrich the air in the closet. Does anyone use this type of setup? Or could you point me in the right direction of tables that i can follow.. Many thanks!

Hey all, I vaguely recall reading that foliar feeding of fertilisers needs to be weaker than if watered into the root zone. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, how much weaker??

Hi all I'd appreciate any thoughts. Basically my question is does adding h2o2 to nutes do anything nasty? Potted up before flower, added nutes per schedule, burned the plants. In hindsight this is obviously because the new soil and added nutes were too hot a mix. Caught it in time, flushed and dialled the nutes right back in a immediate after-flush feed. The girls are recovering nicely, albeit with a few war wounds. However as they are newly repotted, dampness persists at the bottom of the pot where the roots haven't penetrated yet long after the upper soil containing roots is dry. So I need to water, but am worried about the wet feet. I was wondering if adding a s…

Long story short, a friend (guy I'm growing with) was talking to another friend's uncle. This guy used to grow and told of a story how with one plant, he put a dead stingray and a dead shovel nose shark under the plant. He then forgot about it and came back 5 months later to find the biggest plant he's ever grown. Had to give away a whole bunch of the harvest .etc It's most likely over an exaggerated story, but we have nothing to lose, so when planting 3 seedlings yesterday, each one got half a snapper and half a flat head buried under it (and a few prawn heads). I know little about what plants need, but I remember as a kid when my dad threw prawn heads all around his…

Gidday fellows Stoners, I have trouble finding information on Hydroponic Run to waste setup. I plan on doing a stealth grow in a working 370 Litre fridge. My biggest problem is I need to leave the setup on its own for 2 weeks at a time. Originally I wanted to setup a DWC recirc system with water chiller. However after reading more and more on the subject and from previous experience I believe the uneven uptake of Nutes verses water will cause big PH issues that I can't attend to and ultimately Nute deficiency's. I believe my only safe option is to use a Run to waste system. Here are my thoughts. I would like feedback thanks. I thought of running 2 pots 250mm…
