First thing is first, Yello to all I am new to this foruma nd have joined in the hope of finding information and a bit of guidance. So I am the proud owner of a very small and new setup that is made up of an LED growing light, 3 X 28 day old plants a small fan and a cupboard for all to live in. I am currently just watering them with yep you guessed it water, I went fishing 2 weekends ago and saved the ice slurry from that which the fish I caught where kept and used that water to feed my plants but they got a little bit burnt so I stopped right away and went back to the good old water. My main question is what to use to feed them at this stage as I am finding some inf…

Hi all, I have watering issues where the roots go brown, smell earthy and pull apart easy, I use rock balls and top feed, not with seedlings but occurs with older plants, how often should I be watering, I water about 10 times a day for 10 minutes at a time, help as the budding stage slows to a crawl.

G'day, does anyone use fish tank water to water their plants? I've thrown waste water(from water changes) from my fish tanks on my veggy garden for years and they love it.. i've got a couple of seedlings that i'm raising at the moment that i've been watering with fish tank water and they seem to be doing ok. I figure at the very least its an easy supply of chlorine free water.. but then it's got nitrates and other stuff so i figure that can't be a bad thing either. I'm just worried there may be some long term affects on the end product or i may run in to problems down the track by doing this. Can anyone shed some light or share some experiences with this?? thanks,

Hi I have 2 x Apple Jack girls that have beeb fowering 4 weeks and have about 4-5 weeks to go (see my grow diary in footer) They are in soil mix and under 400w HID Sodium lamp. I have been feeding on Nitro Grow (veg) and now Nitro Bloom (flower) with every 3rd feed adding 1g Black mollasses to the mix as I read that was good for carb intake, which should boost stickiness and flavour. The NitroBloom has been fantastic but I am sure I can beef these buds up even more. What would anyone suggest to really beef up the size of the buds that I can use in the last 4 weeks? Something to make them buds swell right up. There are so many fert's online from Big Bud to Bud B…

Okay so this is my 3rd season growing outdoors, the last couple years I have been using flowering nutrients such as monsta bud and aussie grow juice, they seemed to do ok. This season I was hoping to try something new, I have three plants this season all on the smaller side compared to my last few grows. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice on some good organice flowering nutrients to be used in soil mediums. I already have some potash lying around do I require more than that? and if so what are some examples of good nutes to use. Thanks for any advice you guys can give. f d l here are some pics of my babies this year round. not sure…

Hey Gang, Just bought myself an EC and ph meter. Now, my problem is: my tap water is bore water, which is hard water? and has an EC reading of 0.7. I checked this against some filtered water which correctly read 0. The Ph is 7. According to my feed chart, at this stage, i should have an EC of 1.5.(Im growing in soil) But when I add the prescribed amount of nutes to the water, my EC reading is around 2.4, 2.5. Im not too worried about this...the babies dont seem to mind, but am just wondering whether I should be chasing the correct EC reading, or just keep going by measurement. Any thoughts? Peace Chef

Heya boys and girls. Sick of dirt in my fridge, and have been reading up on hempy buckets, as the low tech, no moving parts bit really sings to me. Thinking small, clone to flower type effort, mebbe large cups, 100% perlite, generic hydro nute x. Anyone had a play with hempy small scale and have some pearls of wisdom to share? Cheers.

Hey guys I'm new to growing and will be making a small grow box when I get back to melb. I have got the short rider auto flower fems from nirvana and have no idea whatsoever on what nutes, soil, lighting. I mainly want to know about the nutes. Because I don't know when your meant to water or how often, are you meant to water only when the soil is completely dry? Because I don't want to over water. I just wanna get all the info before I attempt it. If any of you could help me with a regime it would be appreciated a lot. I don't know if I posted this in the correct place but sorry if I didn't Blakey

Hello first post ever... k80 here i have a bag of mushroom compost fertilizer, but i have been afraid to use it as i have not used fertilizers or even grew interior before. my plants had went thru stages of light green leaves back to healthy looking dark green leaves, and as they have been in the ground about 2-3 weeks now i am debating whether or not to use fertilizer, and i am not sure if the mushroom compost will affect my ph adversely or possibly even kill or damage my plants. i have tried to keep this very broad and open as i am here more for knowledge to improve my grow rather than go through an endless amount of troubleshooting that can dwindle my yields or even…
