Hey all, I'm in the thoes of making an orchid house from an old hills swing set my kids are way to old to use anymore. I took the swings off it and am left with an "A" frame with a bar seperatig it. I was going to just drape it with shade cloth, maybe use some tent poles as an awning for half the front while enclosing the other half. I love orchids (who doesn't?). The house I'm living in is almost impossible for growig in at the best of times, let alone summer. The only room I have to use is on an exposed western wall, no shaey trees against it ..nada..hot as hell until midnight. To cool it down to grow in would cost a mint, and be as sus ass can be. It dawned on me …

I'm planning a discreet outdoor scrog in a little 4' tall greenhouse I'll build. Question is, I would like to use a durable translucent material like the opal laserlight which has 60% light transmission, would this be ok to produce nice tight buds? Or should I find another translucent material? Oh and I'm over polythene, too weak and I think stifles bud growth too much.. Anyone have ideas?

I am just about to put a few investments in the bush (my 1st time) & have found a great spot next to a swamp type area. Now i have been reading lots & lots on here but i just read one about possums eatn them which i didnt even think about. Now when i was at bunnings getting supplies i saw a garden spray that is suppose to keep dogs & cats away from the garden... soooo i was wondering if anyone knows the product or thinks it will be a wase of time buying it & spraying around the area. I like possums but not enough to share my goodies with.

Say the cops found one plant in your garden, this is SA. So they give you a 150$ fine, BUT what if you have growing equipment in your house, can they take that? Even though there was no plants indoors. I dont know, because im living here for a about 6 months, so it might be worth growing a plant, and if i get caught, meh 150$ fine and thats it, but its not worth it if they can take my equipment. Also, neone know if its $150 per head or per household?

Should three-week-old seedlings in a mini greenhouse have weak stems? Should they be given food already? Cheers

ok, i live in perth australia and it is starting to warm up. i have 3 seedlings that have sprouted and i am eager to plant them. i was thinking of planting all three in 1 pot. im really only suppose to have 1 plant according to my dad. i understand that the plants will prolly be stunted but its all good as i dont want a monster for all my neighbours to see. is this idea going to work?

Hey chiefs. got a few plants growing outdoors in pots and i don't really want to have to wait till easter to harvest, and i don't really want them growing 6 feet tall. Can I just move them indoors to reduce their photoperiod and induce flowering? If i can how many hours of sunlight would i need to cut it back to? Cheers.
