Another tek from "Starter" ************************************* The advantage of sending hash via an envelope is not only the much lower co$t, there's no customs which means no counter, no camera, no human face recognition/familiarity and no false customs declaration. False customs declaration (and if caught) can mean imprisonment and hefty fines (as is the case in Australia). This envelope method has the advantage that you can mail safely from any letter box in the country and in complete privacy. What's more, because there's no customs, your recipient is in lower risk of the hash being intercepted. All up this is a no bullshit method, though there are rules to be…

The F&D Image Sorry I cant post flash images into here..... Just for some of the curious people out there i figgured that an explanation of this system was needed. The Flood and Drain (F&D) systems use a basic dunking effect at regular intervals to provide moisture to the root mass of the plants. In order to do this at the right time intervals and for the right amount of time is mainly an experimental affair so times will only be a guide within this articule. CONSTRUCTION HINTS As you can see from the image the system contains 2 main tanks and a plant tray below the Netpots that hold the plants. The second tank will be explained in detail latter and is a…

Title :: DIY Carbon Filter Author :: een Category :: Grow Room / Cabinet Design Ingredients :: Activated carbon granules suitable for air scrubbing Wood to make a frame, e.g. 35x75mm pine Piece of MDF or plywood Fly screen mesh Fence mesh U-shaped nails Screws Glue Description :: My design for a flat-panel carbon filter This is a flat panel carbon air filter that I made for about $30 (not including carbon). It’s not as compact as a round filter but it’s easy to make and works perfectly. This is just a frame to hold a bed of carbon granules on flyscreen mesh, with the other side of the frame sealed by MDF. My first idea was just to use fly screen on a wooden frame…

Title :: Making a serial cable for a Telaire CO2 sensor Author :: een Category :: Grow Room / Cabinet Design Ingredients :: Soldering iron and solder Wire cutters 'CAT5' ethernet cable, between 2 and 20m long Female 'DB9' connector Description :: If you have the version of sensor w/o a display, you need a serial cable to change settings like the CO2 setpoint and log the CO2 level The Telaire 800x series CO2 sensors are popular for growers because they let a person make their own InfraRed CO2 controller very cheaply. They are easy to use because they have an internal relay that can directly control a CO2 dosing solenoid valve. The Telaire 800x sensors come in versi…

Title :: CO2 Enrichment Author :: Flipster Category :: Growing Systems Ingredients :: See below We all know that amongst other things, CO2 is an integral factor in the growth of a plant. Without it, we simply do not get plant growth.
